As a research physicist he studied semiconductors for nearly 30 years at IBM's Thomas J. Watson Research Center,New York. This period included pioneering work on superlattice heterostructures with Nobel Prize-winning physicist Leo Esaki.
Harold Vincent Poor FRS FREng is the Michael Henry Strater University Professor of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University,where he is also the Interim Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is a specialist in wireless telecommunications,signal processing and information theory. He has received many honorary degrees and election to national academies. Angela Ying Jun Zhang is a Chinese electrical engineer specializing in wireless networks,smart grids,and edge computing. She is a professor in the Department of Information Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
