Srinidhi Ramesh Shetty (born 21 October 1992) is an Indian actress and model. She is the winner of the Miss Supranational 2016 pageant. [1] She is the second Indian representative to have won this title. [2] Shetty has a SIIMA Award in addition to a nomination at Filmfare Awards South. As an actress, Shetty has played the leading lady in the top-grossing Kannada action films K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018) and K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022), and won the SIIMA Award for Best Actress – Kannada for the latter. Early life and education

Srinidhi Ramesh Shetty was born on 21 October 1992, [4] in a Mangalorean family of Tuluvas belonging to the Bunt. [5] Her father Ramesh Shetty is from the town of Mulki, and her mother Kushala is from Thalipady Guthu, Kinnigoli. [6]

She was educated at Sri Narayana Guru English Medium School, followed by a pre-university course at St. Aloysius Pre-University College. She received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Jain University, Bangalore, and graduated with distinction. [7]

Pageantry

In 2012, Shetty competed in the Clean & Clear-sponsored Fresh Face contest, where she was among the top two finalists. [8] Later, she participated in Manappuram Miss South India in 2015 and won the titles of Miss Karnataka and Miss Beautiful Smile, [9] and later participated in Manappuram Miss Queen of India where she was crowned as the 1st runner up and also named Miss Congeniality. [10] She also worked as a model while employed at Accenture. [11]

In 2016, Shetty participated in the 2016 Miss Diva pageant, where she was selected as a finalist and won the Miss Supranational India 2016 title. [12] [13] She also won three subtitles for her smile, body and her photogenic face. She went on to represent India at Miss Supranational 2016. [14] On 2 December 2016, she was crowned Miss Supranational 2016 by her predecessor Stephania Stegman of Paraguay in Municipal Sports and Recreation Center, Krynica-Zdrój, Poland. She also won the title of Miss Supranational Asia and Oceania 2016 in the pageant. [15] During her reign as Miss Supranational 2016, Shetty traveled to United Arab Emirates, [16] France, [17] Japan, [18] Singapore, [19] Thailand, [20] Slovakia and numerous trips around Poland and India. Acting career

Shetty made her acting debut with the 2018 Kannada period action film, K.G.F: Chapter 1 opposite Yash. [23] It was directed by Prashanth Neel. She portrayed a head strong girl, Reena Desai. [24] The film was a box office success, grossing 250 crore. [25] In 2022, she reprised her role of Reena in the film's sequel, K.G.F: Chapter 2 . [26] [27] With earnings of ₹1,200–1,250 crore globally, it is the second highest grossing Indian film of 2022 and fourth highest-grossing Indian film. [28] [29] The same year, she made her Tamil debut with action thriller film Cobra alongside Vikram. [30] The film was a box-office bomb collecting ₹59 crore. [31] Shetty portrayed Bhavana Menon, a criminology professor. [32]

KGF: Chapter 1 is a 2018 Indian Kannada-language period action film written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films. It is the first installment in the KGF series, followed by KGF: Chapter 2. The film features an ensemble cast including Yash, Ramachandra Raju, Srinidhi Shetty, Vasishta N. KGF is an Indian Kannada language period action film series set mostly in the Kolar Gold Fields, which gives the series its name, created by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films starring Yash in lead role with an ensemble supporting cast. Set in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the series follows two narrators, Anand Ingalangi and his son Vijayendra Ingalangi, who gives an interview of a book written by Anand to a leading news channel, which tells the life story of Raja Krishnappa Bairya alias Rocky (Yash), a Mumbai-based high ranking mercenary born in poverty and how he became the most dreaded person at that time.
