The dead The Tiger Woods Dubai (Arabic : زي تايجر وودز دبيّ) project would have been the first Tiger Woods-designed golf course and golf resort in the world. The planned golf course and resort is located at Dubailand, Dubai's largest tourism and leisure complex. The golf course and resort was a joint venture between Tiger Woods Design and Tatweer, a member company of Dubai Holding. [2]
According to Dubai Properties Group Chief Executive Officer Khalid Al Malik "Work on the course, designed by Woods and originally due to be finished by September 2009, has gotten as far as the eighth hole". [3] (Feb 2010) On January 31, 2011, the golf course developer acknowledged the project has been shelved because of "market conditions." "It's been put on hold," Woods told the Associated Press on Sunday. [4] On April 2, 2011 The New York Times quoted an official from Golf in Dubai, which markets the emirate as a golfing destination, as saying that the project was "as good as dead and buried". [5] The holes that were built are expected to be reclaimed by the desert.
The planned golf resort was to contain a par 72 golf course called "Al Ruwaya", a clubhouse, a golf academy, boutique hotel and residential properties around the golf course. [6]
After extensive delays it was announced in December 2014 that the project had been redesigned and construction had begun once again. [7]
The Cliffs at High Carolina would have been the company's first course in the United States. The private course would have been at about 4,000 feet in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Swannanoa, North Carolina. [8] It would have been the eighth course developed at The Cliffs. Others have been designed by Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio and Gary Player. [8] Still undeveloped, 800 acres of the site was sold in April 2019 by David Straus to New Fort LLC for $15.3 million. [9]

This golf course started being constructed in early 2009, which will be completed in late 2010, and will be 6,835 yards par 70 course. The course will be located in Ensenada, Mexico, which the name of this course translates to the meaning of "wild point." This golf course is being designed on a peninsula with 17 of the tees or greens touching the Pacific Ocean. Punta Brava will feature with its 16th, 17th and 18th holes run-up the Pacific Ocean a unique ending sequence. This will be Tiger Woods' first golf course designed on the oceanfront. The course property will have 40 estate sites, 80 villa residences, private hotel with 20 villas each having a private pool. [11] [12]

When announced in 2003 it was one of the most ambitious leisure developments ever proposed anywhere in the world costing $64.3 billion, but development has been severely impacted by global recession and Dubai's financial crisis. Congressional Country Club is a country club and golf course in Bethesda, Maryland, United States. Congressional opened in 1924 and its Blue Course has hosted five major championships, including three U.S. Opens and a PGA Championship. It was a biennial stop on the PGA Tour, with the Quicken Loans National hosted by Tiger Woods until 2020. Previously, Congressional hosted the former Kemper Open until its move to nearby TPC at Avenel in 1987. Congressional hosted its third U.S. Open in 2011. Tournament winners at Congressional have included Rory McIlroy, Ken Venturi, Ernie Els, Justin Rose and Tiger Woods, among many others. Congressional is generally considered one of the most prestigious golf clubs in the world.

Dubai Lifestyle City was a multi-purpose development project in the Dubailand area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, covering over 4.15 million square feet. Dubai Lifestyle City at Dubailand was officially inaugurated in January 2006. Had it been completed, the development would have had 68 villas and 120 villettes (apartments), golf course, auditorium, theatre, and sports and recreational facilities. The cost of the project was estimated to be Dh 2.4 billion. The project has now been cancelled.
Dubai Golf City is a mixed-use $1.8 billion project covering 55,000,000 square feet (5,100,000 m2). This unique golf community was developed by Benaa Development and offered a stunning collection of 700 mansions built around five golf courses. The project was intended for completion in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in late 2009, but has been on hold with only one golf course partly completed. This golf course is no longer being maintained and the project looks to have been abandoned.
Dubai Zoo was a 1.5-kilometre (0.93 mi) zoo located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was originally built in 1967 by a Dubai resident when Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum, the late Ruler of Dubai, permitted Otto J. Bulart to build a zoo on a 2-hectare (4.9-acre) plot in Jumeirah. It is still the oldest zoo in the Arabian Peninsula. It was considered a Dubai landmark in the late 1960s as it indicated the "town's end".
Punta Brava Golf Club is a private golf and surf club currently under development in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico at the tip of the Punta Banda Peninsula. The site is framed by the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Bay of Todos Santos on the other. In 2011, the course was announced to be designed by Tiger Woods. CNN feature in 2011 highlighted delays in the project. Golf course architect Tom Doak announced he will lead the project design on The Fried Egg podcast in 2022.

The park was originally scheduled to open in 2011 in Dubailand as Legoland Dubailand, but was then delayed until October 2016 and is now located at Dubai Parks and Resorts as Legoland Dubai.
