Sawgrass is a census-designated place (CDP) in St. Johns County, Florida, United States. The area is located in Ponte Vedra Beach. Sawgrass is home to The Players Championship (TPC), established in 1974. The tournament offers the highest prize fund of any tournament in golf.

It is home to the PGA Tour headquarters and hosts The Players Championship, one of the PGA Tour's signature events, now held in March. Paul and Jerome Fletcher negotiated a deal with the PGA Tour, which included the donation of 415 acres (1.68 km2) for one dollar.

It was created by the PGA Tour and showcases the World Golf Hall of Fame. In addition to the resort the World Golf Village features residential and commercial developments. There is also a census-designated place with the same name.

Robert C. Weed, known as Bobby Weed, president of Bobby Weed Golf Design, is a golf course designer and builder specializing in design, renovation and repurposing. A protégé of Pete Dye, he resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Weed is a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and the Florida Turfgrass Association.

A Distinguished 5 Star Platinum Club of America and a Premier Private Country Club of Northeast Florida. The club hosted the PGA Tour's Tournament Players Championship five times, from 1977 through 1981.

Both shot 75 (+3) in the windy final round and Nicklaus went without a birdie.

The Korn Ferry Challenge at TPC Sawgrass was a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. The tournament was one of several added to the Korn Ferry Tour schedule as part of adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was the first event played after the tour took a three-month hiatus due to the pandemic. It was played in June 2020 on the Dye's Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; the course had previously hosted the Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open from 2010 to 2012 and the Web.com Tour Championship from 2013 to 2015. Luke List won the tournament by one stroke over Joseph Bramlett and Shad Tuten.
