Malacca City is the capital city of the Malaysian state of Malacca, in Melaka Tengah District. It is the oldest Malaysian city on the Straits of Malacca, having become a successful entrepôt in the era of the Malacca Sultanate. The present-day city was founded by Parameswara, a Sumatran prince who escaped to the Malay Peninsula when Srivijaya fell to the Majapahit. Following the establishment of the Malacca Sultanate, the city drew the attention of traders from the Middle East, South Asia, and East Asia, as well as the Portuguese, who intended to dominate the trade route in Asia. After Malacca was conquered by Portugal, the city became an area of conflict when the sultanates of Aceh and Johor attempted to take control from the Portuguese.

Al-Azim Mosque is the state mosque of Malacca. It is located next to the Malacca General Hospital, the Malacca Al-Quran Museum and the State Heroes Mausoleum and was constructed to replace the former state mosque at Tranquerah Mosque and officially opened on 13 July 1990 by the ninth Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Azlan Shah of Perak.
Kampung Hulu Mosque is a mosque situated at Kampong Hulu Village in Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia. It is the oldest mosque in Malacca and among the oldest in the country, having originally built around the year 1720–1728 and underwent renovation in 1892. The architectural design of the mosque is a cross between Javanese Architecture, Local Malay, Sumateran, and Sini. The minaret, ablution pool and entrance arch were built at the same time with the main building. The minaret resembles a pagoda with the style of "Balai Nobat Melayu". An ancient cemetery lies next to the mosque in where some notable preachers and missionaries are buried.

Malacca Straits Mosque is a mosque located on the man-made Malacca Island in Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia, which was opened on 24 November 2006 by the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail and was constructed with a cost of about MYR10 million. It was built using the mix of Middle Eastern and Malay craftsmanship and looks like a floating structure when the water level is high. Its structure has two intersecting archways lead to the main entrance and stained glass which covers the space in between the arches. The mosque compound has a 30-metre tall minaret that is also used as a lighthouse.

He served as the 9th Chief Minister of Melaka from December 1999 to May 2013, Deputy Minister of Health from November 1996 to December 1999, Deputy Minister of Transport from May 1995 to November 1996, Member of Parliament (MP) for Batu Berendam from April 1995 to November 1999, Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bukit Batu from March 2004 to May 2013, for Paya Rumput from November 1999 to March 2004, for Sungai Udang from October 1990 to April 1995 and for Ayer Molek from August 1986 to October 1990. He was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
Tun Datuk Seri Utama Syed Ahmad bin Syed Mahmud Shahabuddin was a Malaysian politician. He was the Menteri Besar of Kedah from 1967 to 1978 and the fifth Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Melaka state from 1984 until 2004, the longest-serving governor of Malacca.

Internationally, he is President of the World Assembly of Youth. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He was also member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.

Malacca Islamic Museum is a museum about Islamic culture in Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia. It exhibits various artifacts about the replica of early Quran manuscripts, history of mosques in the state, various religious figures from the state and Malaysia etc. The museum building used to house the Islamic Council of Malacca Office before it was shifted to its current location beside the State Mosque. Before the establishment of the Islamic museum, extensive renovations were done to create space for the museum.
Malacca Al-Quran Museum is a museum about Quran in Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia, which was developed with the cooperation between Restu Foundation and Malacca State Government and opened to the public on 10 January 2008. It is located next to the state mosque of Malacca and consists of 12 main halls and a shop.
Malacca Chinese Mosque is a Chinese-style mosque in Krubong, Central Melaka District, Malacca, Malaysia. It is the third such mosque in Malaysia after the ones in Kelantan and Perak and was developed by the Malacca Chinese Muslim Association (Pertim). Its construction budget was approved by Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin in October 2011, while its construction was started in August 2012 by Warisan Harmoni Construction Sdn. Bhd. and completed in April 2014. The construction of the mosque cost 7.5 million Malaysian ringgits, with RM 5.9 million provided by the federal government and the remaining by Pertim and the public.

She served as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Parliament and Law in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Wan Junaidi from August 2021 to the collapse of BN administration in November 2022, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021 and the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture in the BN administration under former Prime Minister Najib Razak and former Minister Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz from July 2015 to the collapse of the BN administration in May 2018. She is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the PN coalition and was a member of United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. She has served as the 2nd Deputy Women Chief of BERSATU since August 2020 and the Women Youth Chief of the UMNO from October 2013 to June 2018. After the defeat of BN to the Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition coalition in the 2018 general election, she resigned from UMNO in 2018 and joined BERSATU in 2019. She is also the second female PAC chairperson after Noraini Ahmad in Malaysian history.
