Uncover is a Canadian investigative journalism podcast, launched in 2018 by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. [1] Each season is hosted by a different journalist, and delves into Canadian and international crime stories. [2]

The second season, Bomb on Board, won the RTNDA Canada award for Best Original / Enterprise Journalism in 2019. [3] In August 2019, the CBC announced that the third season, The Village, was in development as the basis for a documentary television series. [4]

As with other CBC podcasts, episodes of the series have aired terrestrially on CBC Radio One as substitute programming in the summer season and on public holidays.

Michelle Shephard is an independent investigative reporter, author and filmmaker. She has been awarded the Michener Award for public service journalism and won Canada's top newspaper prize, the National Newspaper Award, three times. In 2011, she was an associate producer on a documentary called Under Fire: Journalists in Combat. She produced the National Film Board documentary, Prisoners of the Absurd, which premiered at Amsterdam's film festival in 2014. Shephard also co-directed a film based on her book about Omar Khadr, Guantanamo's Child, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2015.

Canadian Pacific Air Lines Flight 21 was a scheduled domestic flight from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, via Prince George, Fort St. John, Fort Nelson and Watson Lake on July 8, 1965. The Douglas DC-6B plane crashed near 100 Mile House, British Columbia, taking the lives of all 52 aboard. An inquest determined that the explosion was the result of a bomb, but the crime remains unsolved.

Duncan McCue is a Canadian television and radio journalist for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He is Anishinaabe (Ojibway), from Ontario, a member of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation. A longtime reporter for CBC Television's The National, he was the host of CBC Radio One's radio call-in show Cross Country Checkup from 2016 to 2020, and the first Indigenous person to host a mainstream show at the public broadcaster. Justin Ling is a Canadian investigative journalist. He is most noted as the author of the 2020 book Missing from the Village, about the 2010–2017 Toronto serial homicides by Bruce McArthur.
