The 2011–12 The Citadel Bulldogs basketball team represented The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in the 2011-12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The nine match tournament will be held at campus sites, with the semifinals and final held at Taylor Stadium in Johnson City, Tennessee. The ten team single-elimination tournament will consist of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Furman Paladins are the defending tournament champions after defeating the Mercer Bears in the championship match.

The 2017 Southern Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Southern Conference held from October 25 through November 5, 2017. The first round and quarterfinals of the tournament were held at campus sites, while the semifinals and final took place at Samford University Track & Soccer Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama. The ten-team single-elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Samford Bulldogs were the defending champions, but they were eliminated from the 2017 tournament with a 2–1 semifinal loss in double overtime to the UNC Greensboro Spartans. UNC Greensboro won the tournament with a 1–0 win over the Western Carolina Catamounts in the final. This was the seventh Southern Conference tournament title for the UNC Greensboro women's soccer program and the first for head coach Michael Coll.

The UNC Greensboro Spartans were the defending champions but were unable to defend their crown, losing 1–0 t the Furman Paladins in the semifinal. The Samford Bulldogs were the eventual champions, defeating Furman 1–0 in the final. This was the third Southern Conference tournament title for the Samford women's soccer program, all three of which have come under coach Todd Yelton.

The 2020–21 Southern Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play begins in January 2021 and will conclude in March 2021.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021–22 Southern Conference men's basketball season</span> Sports season

The 2021-22 Southern Conference men's basketball season started non-conference play on November 9, 2021, and began conference play on December 29, 2021. The regular season ended on February 27, 2022, setting up the 2022 Southern Conference men's basketball tournament from March 4th to March 7th.

The 2021 Southern Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Southern Conference held from October 26 through November 7, 2021. The tournament was held at campus sites, with the higher seed hosting. The ten-team single-elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Furman Paladins were the defending champions but were unable to defend their crown, losing 4–2 in the final to the Samford Bulldogs. This was the fourth Southern Conference tournament title for the Samford women's soccer program, all four of which have come under coach Todd Yelton. As tournament champions, Samford earned the Southern Conference's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The 2023 Western Carolina Catamounts football team will represent Western Carolina University as a member of the Southern Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Catamounts are led by third-year head coach Kerwin Bell and play home games at Bob Waters Field at E. J. Whitmire Stadium in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
