The 2018 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries was the 16th edition of this tournament. It was hosted by San Marino. [1]

Seven teams played in the competition, with the return of Norway, 17 years after their last appearance in a FIBA competition.

Armenia, that participates in the EuroBasket 2021 qualification, and Wales, integrated in the team of Great Britain, were the teams from the previous edition that did not participate in this one.

The 2016 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries was the 15th edition of this tournament. It was hosted by Moldova.

The 2016 FIBA Europe 3x3 Championships was the second edition of the European 3x3 basketball event that featured separate competitions for men's and women's national teams. The tournament started on 25 June 2016 with the first of the three qualifying tournaments and its final tournament was played in the AFI Cotroceni shopping mall in Bucharest, Romania between 2 and 4 September 2016.

The 2021 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries was the 17th edition of this tournament, hosted in Dublin, Ireland. Initially, the championship was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was rescheduled to 10‍–‍15 August 2021.

The 2018 FIBA U18 European Championship Division C was the 14th edition of the Division C of the FIBA U18 European basketball championship. It was played in Pristina, Kosovo, from 22 to 29 July 2018. 9 teams participated in the competition. The host team, Kosovo, won the tournament.

The 2021 FIBA U18 European Challengers were international basketball competitions which took place from 3 to 8 August 2021, replacing the cancelled 2021 FIBA U18 European Championship.

The 2022 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries was the 18th edition of this competition. It took place in Ta' Qali, Malta, from 28 June to 3 July 2022. Ireland were the defending champions; but they didn't participate in this edition.

The 2022 FIBA Women's European Championship for Small Countries was the 17th edition of this competition. The tournament took place in Nicosia, Cyprus, from 28 June to 3 July 2022. Luxembourg were the defending champions; but they didn't participate in this edition.
