The 2022 LEC season is the fourth year of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), a professional esports league for the MOBA PC game League of Legends .

Teams

Team BDS acquired the LEC spot of FC Schalke 04 for €26.5m at the conclusion of the 2021 season. [1] This is also the final LEC season for Rogue, as they will merge with KOI for the 2023 season. [2]

The 2020 LCS season was the eighth season of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), a professional esports league for the video game League of Legends. The season was divided into two splits: Spring and Summer. The Spring Split began on January 25 and culminated playoff finals on April 19, 2020. The Summer Split began on June 12 and culminated with the Spring Split finals on September 6, 2020. Most matches were played online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Zdravets Iliev Galabov, better known as Hylissang, is a Bulgarian professional League of Legends player for MAD Lions. He previously played for Fnatic and Unicorns of Love. Hylissang plays the support role.

The 2023 LEC season is the 11th season of the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), a professional esports league for the MOBA PC game League of Legends, and the first under new branding. The LEC rebranded from the "European Championship" to the "EMEA Championship" to broaden player eligibility. Two team changes occurred for the 2023 season, with Misfits Gaming selling their LEC franchise slot to Team Heretics and Rogue rebranding to KOI. The league also saw a major format change, expanding from two splits to three, and introduced a season final playoff. The schedule also underwent adjustments, with Superweeks every week, extending into Monday.
