The 2022 Sacramento Republic FC season was the club's ninth season of existence. The club played in the USL Championship (USLC), the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. Sacramento Republic FC competed in the Western Conference of the USL Championship.

Contents

The season was highlighted by Republic FC reaching the final of the U.S. Open Cup, becoming the first non-MLS club since 2008 to do so.

After the 2020 and 2021 competitions were suspended and ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States Soccer Federation announced that the 2022 edition would run from March to mid-September of that year. The 2022 field features 103 clubs, 71 of them fully professional—both modern-era records.

The 2022 New Mexico United season was the fourth season for New Mexico United in the USL Championship, the second-tier professional soccer league in the United States. This article covers the period from November 30, 2021 to the conclusion of the 2022 USL playoff final. The 2022 USL Championship season is set to begin on March 12, with New Mexico United set to play their first competitive game against Las Vegas Lights FC.

The 2022 Phoenix Rising FC season was the club's ninth season in the USL Championship and their sixth as Rising FC. The season ran from March 12 thru October 15. For the first time as Phoenix Rising FC, the team failed to make the playoffs.

The 2022 Monterey Bay FC season was the club's first season since their establishment on February 1, 2021. The club made its league debut in the USL Championship as well as its domestic cup debut in the U.S. Open Cup.
