Information

The album was produced by Black Angus and Donnie Sloan and mixed by 'Spike' Stent and Paul PDub Walton (Madonna, Björk, Massive Attack, Gwen Stefani) at Olympic Studios in London. The first single to be released from the album Kansas City was released on 12 July 2008. The album was available for pre-order on the Australian iTunes Store. [2]

Singles

  1. "Kansas City" was the first single off the album, it was released on 12 July 2008. The song debuted on the Australian chart at 16 and peaked four weeks later at 14, becoming their second biggest hit after "UFO". On the twelfth week it dropped to 45 and the next week dropped out of the top 50.
  2. "When We Were Young" was the second single off the album, it was released on 15 November 2008. The song did not show as much success as "Kansas City", it was their second single not to enter the top 100 after "Tease Me" but it did chart at 16 on the dance chart and 7 on the independent chart, the remix also charted at 9 in the club chart.
  3. "16" was the third single off the album, it was released on 14 February 2009. The song was announced on their official website. [3]
  4. "It's Not My Problem" was the fourth and final single off the album, it was released on 4 September 2009. It has reached a peak of No. 8 on the Australian Club Chart [4] and No. 79 on the Australian Airplay Chart. [5]

Sneaky Sound System are an Australian dance music group formed in late 2001 by Angus McDonald on guitar, MC Double D on vocoder and vocals, Damien Hesse (DJ) and Nick Broadhurst on saxophone. They were joined in 2004 by Connie Mitchell (ex-Primary) on vocals; Downey left the band in September 2009, Hesse in 2005 and Broadhurst in 2006. On 12 August 2006, they released their self-titled debut studio album, which peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart in mid-November 2007 and was certified 3× platinum by December 2011, denoting shipments of 210,000 copies. The group's breakthrough single, "I Love It", which was issued on 8 July 2006, peaked at No. 24 on the ARIA Singles Chart and spent 73 weeks in the Top 100 – this broke the record as the longest charting single previously held by The Living End's 1997 hit, "Second Solution / Prisoner of Society", at 69 weeks. Angus & Julia Stone are an Australian folk and indie pop group, formed in 2006 by brother and sister Angus and Julia Stone. Angus & Julia Stone have released five studio albums: A Book Like This (2007), Down the Way (2010), Angus & Julia Stone (2014), Snow (2017) and Life Is Strange (2021). At the ARIA Music Awards of 2010, they won five awards from nine nominations: Album of the Year, Best Adult Alternative Album, Best Cover Art and Producer of the Year for Down the Way, and Single of the Year for "Big Jet Plane". The siblings have also issued solo albums.

Primary were an Australian electronic rock band which formed in 1995 the Fonti brothers: Jamie on keyboards and Sean on bass guitar, and Connie Mitchell on lead vocals. According to Australian musicologist, Ian McFarlane, the group were "Dominated by South African-born [Mitchell]'s hyperactive and full-frontal vocals, with thunderous electronic rock underpinning the music, Primary sounded like a techno Skunk Anansie. Jamie Fonti coined the phrase 'Hybrid Electronica Rock' in order to describe the band's sound." The group released two albums, This Is the Sound and Watching the World. They disbanded late in 2003.

Connie Thembi Mitchell, also known as Miss Connie, is a South African-born Australian singer-songwriter. In 1995 she was a founding member of Primary. Briefly, in 2004, she was vocalist for Machine Gun Fellatio under the pseudonym Feyonce. Since mid-2005 Mitchell is the lead vocalist with Sneaky Sound System, appearing on their singles: "I Love It", "Pictures" (December), "UFO", "Goodbye" (October), "Kansas City", "When We Were Young" (November), "16" and "We Love".
