Ak Tap is a village located on the road from Kunda Gazar to Hazrat Imam. It is about 10 miles from Hazrat Imam, and, as of the turn of the twentieth century, housed 25 Uzbek families. [1]

Narjis Mother of al-Madhi

Narjis bint Yashoua was the wife of Imam Hasan al-Askari and the mother of the final Imam of Twelver Shia Islam. Her name has been recorded as Narjis, Saiyra, Katrina, Lilliana, Malika, and primarily Anna, in books. More sources have described her as a "Roman princess" who pretended to be a slave so that she might travel from her kingdom to Arabia. Mohammad Ali Amir-Moezzi, in the Encyclopædia Iranica, suggests that the last version is "undoubtedly legendary and hagiographic". According to Ibn Babawayh's account, Narjis saw Mary, the mother of Jesus, and Fatimah, the daughter of Muhammad, in her dreams wherein they asked for her hand in marriage to Hasan al-Askari.

Hadrat, Hadhrat, or Hadrah is an honorific Arabic title used to honour a person. It literally denotes and translates to "presence, appearance."

Jafar Shahidi

Jafar Shahidi known as Seyed Jafar Shahidi was a distinguished scholar of the Persian language and literature, and a renowned historian of Islam. Born in Boroujerd, Lorestan Province, Iran, Shahidi dedicated his life to Persian studies, acting as the director of the Dehkhoda Dictionary Institute and International Center for Persian Studies (ICPS), serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at the University of Tehran (UT), and mastering the fields of jurisprudence and Islamic history. As a member of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at the University of Tehran, Shahidi specialized in the study of Persian language and literature as well as Islamic theology, jurisprudence, and history.

Pir Baba

Sayyid Ali Tirmizi, more commonly known as Pir Baba, was a Sufi who settled in Buner among the Yusufzai Pashtuns. He was probably born in 908 AH, in Fergana, of Sayyid descent, died in AH 991. He was a supporter of the Mughal emperor Babar, and was an opponent of Bayazid Pir Roshan.

Kazimar Big Mosque

Kazimar Periya Pallivasal or Kazimar Big Mosque is the oldest mosque in Madurai city, Tamil Nadu, India constructed in the year 1284AD and continues to be in existence for more than 7 centuries till today. The mosque was founded by Kazi Syed Tajuddin, a descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, who came from Yemen during 13th century and received this land from the King Kulasekara Ku(n) Pandiyan. The mosque which was the first Muslim place of worship in Madurai. The mosque was managed by Syed Tajuddin during his life time followed by his children and descendants hereditarily for more than 7 centuries till today. Almost all of Kazi Syed Tajuddin's descendants have lived in the same locality for more than 700 years, and have managed the mosque since then.

Shamsuddin Sabzwari

Hazrat Pir Shah Shamsuddin Sabzwari Multani was a Muslim Sufi missionary and Pir (Sufism) from Sabzawar in present-day Iran. Shamsuddin Sabzwari arrived in Multan in early 1200C.E. in modern Pakistan, established a dargah and preached Islam to the local population. Shamsuddin Sabzwari is considered to be a saint due to his poetry and the local traditions. Shamsuddin Sabzwari died in 1276 and his mausoleum is located in Multan. The Urs of Shamsuddin Sabzwari takes place June of each year. In South Asia, by the propagation of Islam commenced after the demise of Mohammad and Sindh was first to receive Islam. At about the same time, the followers and well wishers of Muhammad's family had started preaching and conversion on behalf of Ali and his successive Imams. The sixth Imam, lsmail bin Imam Jafar-as-Sadiq, and the succeeding Ismaili Imams sent out Da'is (Missionaries) to the far corners of the then known world.
