Amit Malviya is an Indian politician serving as the national convener of the IT cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party. [1] [2]

Early life

Malviya is from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his BBM from Dayalbagh Educational Institute and PGDM Finance Management from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies Symbiosis International University. [3] He went on to work in the banking sector for a number of years. [3] [4] [5]

Bharatiya Janata Party

In 2009, Malviya gained prominence in the BJP through the forum 'Friends of BJP'. Following this he was made the head of the BJP IT Cell in the year 2015. [3] [4] [5]

Several social media posts by Malviya have been criticised as misinformation. [6] In December 2020, Twitter flagged a tweet by Malviya about the farmers' protest as 'manipulated media'. [7]

Sexual exploitation allegations

In June 2024, Malviya was accused of sexual exploitation by a worker from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The allegations prompted the Indian National Congress (INC) to demand Malviya's removal from his role in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). As of now, there has been no public response from Malviya or the BJP regarding these accusations. The incident is currently under investigation. [8] [9]

Mohammed Ziauddin Rizvi is an Indian politician. He is the Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Sikanderpur Assembly constituency. He had served as the Minister of Panchayati Raj in Samajwadi Party Government of Uttar Pradesh headed by Akhilesh Yadav. He got elected for the third term in 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election succeeding Sanjay Yadav of Bharatiya Janata Party.
