Anu Hasan (born Anuradha Chandrahasan) is an Indian actress and TV anchor. She made her film debut in the critically acclaimed Indira (1995) and has since appeared in many Tamil films, playing minor roles. She hosted the celebrity talk show Koffee with Anu on the Tamil channel Vijay for three seasons.
Anu did her schooling at St.Joseph's Anglo Indian Girls Higher Secondary School, Trichy and RSK Higher Secondary School and earned a MSc degree in Physics and Management from BITS Pilani (1988–1993). [1] [2]
By 2000, she ventured into television, [3] acting first in the series Anbulla Snehgidhiye, which was adapted from Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni's award-winning novel Sister of My Heart . [1] She then starred in a number of TV series like Avan Aval Avargal, Ammaavukku Rendula Raagu and Vivahita (Malayalam), following which she turned anchor for the celebrity talk show Koffee with Anu (named after herself), aired on STAR Vijay. The show, which she hosted for over four years, soon became very popular and made her ultimately a household name in Tamil Nadu. [2]
In 2014 she joined the Ask How India social movement and made a series of videos pertaining to social issues. [4]
In addition, Anu has worked as a dubbing artiste, lending her voice for many non-Tamil-speaking actresses, including Raveena Tandon, Preity Zinta and Geetu Mohandas. [5]
She writes a monthly column for Just for Women (India) magazine.

Run is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film directed by N. Linguswamy and produced by A. M. Rathnam under Sri Surya Movies. It stars Madhavan and Meera Jasmine, Vivek, Atul Kulkarni, Raghuvaran and Anu Hasan. Vidyasagar composed the music, while Jeeva and V. T. Vijayan handled the cinematography and editing of the film. Koffee with Karan is an Indian talk show hosted by filmmaker and television personality Karan Johar and produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital content division of Johar's production company Dharma Productions. It debuted on 19 November 2004, and has aired eight seasons over a span of eighteen years. Distributed by Disney Star, its first six seasons aired on Star World India (2004–2019). In 2022, Koffee with Karan moved to Disney+ Hotstar as a streaming exclusive under the service's content label and hub, Hotstar Specials; thereafter the succeeding seasons have aired on the platform. Also that year, Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment replaced Banijay's SOL India as the show's production company. It is the second longest-running talk show after Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan on Indian Hindi-language television, as well as one of the most-watched Indian English-language television shows. Raveena Tandon is an Indian actress known for her work in Hindi films. She made her acting debut in the 1991 action film Patthar Ke Phool, which earned her the Filmfare Award for New Face of the Year. This was followed by a series of unsuccessful films including Ek Hi Raasta (1993) and Parampara . In 1994, she appeared in eight Hindi films, most of them were commercial successes. Among these were two of the top-grossing films – the romantic musical drama Dilwale and the action drama Mohra. The success of the latter marked a turning point in her career, establishing Tandon as a leading actress in Hindi cinema.
