Auditorio del Estado is an indoor arena in Mexicali, Mexico. It is primarily used for basketball and is the home arena of the Soles de Mexicali. It can seat 4,779 people. [1] It is located in the "Ciudad Deportiva" of Mexicali, known as the sport center of the city, where it also holds the Nido de Los Aguilas (baseball stadium), and the Home of the Halcones (American Football).
The auditorium was badly damaged in the magnitude 7.2 Baja California earthquake. [2] The auditorium, built in 1985, received international attention as the venue for the final boxing match to have been scheduled for 15 rounds, which took place on August 4, 1988, a match broadcast on USA Tuesday Night Fights. In this fight, Jorge Paez defeated Calvin Grove for the IBF featherweight title.

The Soles de Mexicali is a Mexican professional basketball team based in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, playing in the Northern Division of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). The team was founded in 2005, and has established as one of Mexico's youngest and most successful basketball francises. They currently play their home games in the Auditorio del Estado and are getting their home auditorium remodeled to match their recent title.

Federal Highway 5 is a tollfree part of the federal highways corridors, and follows the northeast length of the state of Baja California from the US-Mexico border in Mexicali at the northern point at San Felipe in the south. The highway is entirely inside the Mexicali Municipality. However, a state highway from San Felipe to Puertecitos is usually considered part of Fed. 5. From San Felipe to the south, the road follows the seacoast of the Gulf of California.
Guadalupe Victoria, also known as the 43, is a small city in the state of Baja California in northern Mexico. Its population at the 2018 census was 20,222 inhabitants. It is located in the municipality of Mexicali and serves as a borough seat of its surrounding area.
