The Most Esteemed Azlanii Royal Family Order [1] (Malay : Darjah Yang Teramat Mulia Darjah Kerabat Azlanii) is a dynastic order of chivalry of the state of Perak which was constituted by Sultan Azlan Shah in 2010 in commemoration of his silver jubilee celebration. The order was conferred upon members of the royal family and close relatives who have contributed immensely towards him throughout his reign. The order has not been conferred since the Sultan's demise in 2014.

Contents

The Azlanii Royal Family Order was originally constituted in April 2009 in the grade of Grand Knight which was conferred upon 25 individuals who have contributed significantly towards the Sultan. The higher two grades were added later the following year and was limited to the members of the royal family.

Classes

The Azlanii Royal Family Order is conferred in three classes:

The recipients of the higher two classes of the order are not entitled to any style or title, however, the Grand Knights are entitled to the prenominal title of Dato' Seri.

Criteria

The First Class of the Azlanii Royal Family Order was conferred only upon five individuals, including Raja Permaisuri Tuanku Bainun, Raja Nazrin Shah, Tuanku Zara Salim, Raja Jaafar and Raja Nor Mahani.[ citation needed ]

The Second Class of the order was conferred the Raja Di-Hilir of Perak, the Raja Puan Muda of Perak, the members of the line of succession and the members of the royal family of Sultan Azlan Shah which included his daughters and sons-in-law.[ citation needed ]

The Grand Knight class was conferred upon 25 individuals who have contributed significantly towards the Sultan during his reign. The recipients included the Orang Besar of Perak, the Orang Kaya Besar of Perak, the State Mufti among prominent.[ citation needed ]
