Bobby DeAngelo Askew Jr. (born August 19, 1980) is a former American football fullback. He played college football as the University of Michigan. He ranks first all-time among Michigan running backs in reception yards. [1]
Askew was selected in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the New York Jets, the first out of eight fullbacks taken in the draft. He has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Askew attended Colerain High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was a letterwinner in football, basketball, and track & field. In basketball, he averaged 10 points per game as a junior. Askew graduated from Colerain High School in 1999.
Askew was a third round draft pick by the New York Jets in 2003. [2]
He was later signed by the Buccaneers to back up Mike Alstott, but assumed starting duties when Alstott went down with a neck injury. On May 15, 2008, the team gave him a four-year contract extension. It was a 5-year deal worth $8.6 million, making him one of the league's highest-paid fullbacks. [3]

Michael Joseph Alstott is an American former professional football player who was a fullback in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Nicknamed "A-Train", he played college football for the Purdue Boilermakers and was selected by the Buccaneers in the second round of the 1996 NFL draft. Alstott received six Pro Bowl and three first-team All-Pro honors during his career, in addition to being part of the Buccaneers team that won the franchise's first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXVII. For his accomplishments in Tampa Bay, he was inducted to the Buccaneers Ring of Honor in 2015. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest fullbacks of all time. One of the NFL's YouTube channels called Alstott "the last legendary fullback".
Noah Scott Herron is a former American football running back. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Northwestern.

Lorenzo LaVonne Neal is an American former football fullback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for sixteen seasons. Neal played college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs and was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the 1993 NFL draft. A four-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time All-Pro, he was also a member of the New York Jets, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Tennessee Titans, the Cincinnati Bengals, the San Diego Chargers, the Baltimore Ravens and the Oakland Raiders. Considered one of the best blocking fullbacks in NFL history, Neal blocked for a 1,000-plus-yard running back in eleven straight seasons from 1997 to 2007.
John Terrence Lynch Jr. is an American football executive and former safety who is the general manager of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Stanford and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 1993 NFL draft, later winning Super Bowl XXXVII with them. Lynch also spent four seasons with the Denver Broncos before retiring in 2008 and working as a color commentator for NFL on Fox games until being named general manager of the 49ers in 2017. He made nine Pro Bowls during his career and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.

David Edward Moore is an American former football tight end and long snapper who played in the National Football League (NFL) with the played for the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the span of his 15-year career. His last official game was the 2007 Pro Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii. Moore didn't miss more than two games in any season for his entire Buccaneers career since first joining the team in 1993. During his career he had a rate of one touchdown scored for every 7.7 passes caught, which was the best touchdown rate by any player in Buccaneers history who had at least 50 career receptions.

The season began with the team trying to improve on their 5–11 record in 2004; they made a complete reversal from last season by going 11–5. Cadillac Williams won Offensive Rookie of the Year. The Bucs would lose in the Wild Card playoff game at home to the Washington Redskins.

The 1996 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season was the team's 21st in the National Football League (NFL). The Buccaneers failed to improve on their 7–9 season in 1995, finishing 6–10. It was the first season under head coach Tony Dungy. The 1996 season marked the final year that the Buccaneers wore their trademark orange, red, and white "creamsicle" uniforms. Until 2010, it was the last time that the Buccaneers failed to sell out any of its home games.
