Babita Pohoomull (born 1981) is a British actress. [1] She played Preeti Choraria in EastEnders from 27 October 2006 to 3 January 2008. She also played Gita Dhatri in Casualty . As of September 2009, Pohoomull also appears in CBBC's Planet Ajay.

After leaving Eastenders she toured the UK in 2010 playing the lead role in the stage play, Hitting Home. [2]

Farida Akhtar Poppy, known by her stage name Babita, is a Bangladeshi film actress. She is a popular actress in Bangladeshi films of the 1970s. She is best known for her performance in Satyajit Ray's Distant Thunder, a novel adaptation about the Bengal famine of 1943, which won the Golden Bear prize at the 23rd Berlin International Film Festival in 1973. She was active in the 1970s through 1990s as an actress in Bangladeshi films. Babita acted in more than 350 films. Mahavir Singh Phogat Indian amateur wrestler and senior Olympics coach

Mahavir Singh Phogat is an Indian amateur wrestler, senior Olympics coach and politician. He is the trainer and father of Phogat sisters. The Hindi biographical film Dangal is loosely based on his life.

The Phogat sisters are six sisters from Haryana, India, all of whom are wrestlers. In order of their dates of birth, they are: Geeta, Babita, Priyanka, Ritu, Vinesh and Sangita. While Geeta, Babita, Ritu and Sangita are daughters of former wrestler and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat, Priyanka and Vinesh were brought up by Mahavir after their father, who is the brother of Mahavir, was killed in a land dispute. Mahavir trained all six of them in wrestling in their home village of Balali in Bhiwani district.
