Believe Me Now? is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter Becky Hill, released on 31 May 2024 through Polydor Records and Eko Records. [1] It features collaborations with Self Esteem, Sonny Fodera, Lewis Thompson, Rileasa, and Chase & Status. [2]
Speaking with Ali Shutler for NME magazine about the process of the album, Hill stated: [3]
"I didn't want people asking, 'Who the fuck is Becky Hill?' but I've become this person that knows exactly who she is. I don't need to downplay myself or my abilities because I finally believe in myself. You can hear that on this record." [3]
She also confirmed that artists and producers such as Parisi, Mark Ralph, Toddla T, Maur, Solardo, MJ Cole, Jax Jones, Franky Wah, Lewis Thompson, Sonny Fodera and Chase & Status would be featured on the album. [3]
Believe Me Now? was released through Eko and Polydor Records on 31 May 2024. It will be available on streaming, digital download, CD, and various vinyl LP variants. [4]
The album's lead single "Side Effects", a Lewis Thompson-assisted track was released on 12 May 2023. [5] The track peaked at number 35 on UK chart and 12 on UK Dance chart respectively.
The second single "Disconnect", a collaboration with an English electronic music duo Chase & Status was released on 14 July 2023. [6] The song peaked at number six on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Hill's sixth and Chase & Status' fifth top-ten single respectively.
"Never Be Alone" was released as the album's third single on 19 January 2024. The song peaked at number twenty-three on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Hill's nineteen and Fodera's second top-forthy single, respectively. [7] [8]
"Outside of Love" was released as the album's fourth single on 28 March 2024. [9] with an accompanying music video being released at the same day. The track peaked at number 54 on UK Singles Chart.
On 1 May 2024, "Right Here" was released as the fifth single from the album. [10]
On 24 May 2024, Hill released the song "True Colours" with British singer-songwriter Self Esteem as the sixth single from the album. [11]
Hill performed "Disconnect" alongside Chase & Status at the Brit Awards 2024 ceremony on 2 March. She included "Disconnect", "Never Be Alone", "Outside of Love", "Right Here", and "True Colours" as part of her setlist during BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend at Stockwood Park in Luton on 24 May.

Believe Me Now? was met with critical acclaim by music critics who praised Hill's vocal performance, lyrical content and improvement from her previous effort.
Ed Power for iNews called the record a heartfelt and courageous album, stating that with her second studio album Hill is "a force to be reckoned with in her own right", and named the tracks "True Colours" and "Lonely Again" as the album highlights. [15] Mike DeWald for Riff Magazine praised Becky Hill's "immense" growth as an artist and vocalist, declaring that with her second album Believe Me Now? Hill "finds her voice and carves out her own space in the pop landscape", as well calling Hill a "pop vocal powerhouse with plenty on her mind". [16] He went further saying that Hill's provides "a high-flying record that achieves both singalongs and memorable dance floor bangers" and praised the solid songwriting. [16]
Joe Muggs for The Arts Desk praised Believe Me Now? for making Hill stand-out from her contemporaries musicians in the dance pop scene, showcasing a "distinct musical identity" which is back-up with "sheer force of personality". [17] Muggs concluded his review saying that this is an album that "powers along on adrenaline and palpable, lived emotion". and named Hill "the real deal". [17]

Lesley Sue Goldstein, better known with her maternal surname as Lesley Gore, was an American singer and songwriter. At the age of 16, she recorded her first hit song "It's My Party", a US number one in 1963. Jimmy Wayne Barber is an American country music singer and songwriter. He released his self-titled debut album in 2003 on the DreamWorks Records label. Skye Edwards, sometimes simply Skye, is a British singer-songwriter. Her career began in the mid-1990s when she and the Godfrey brothers formed the band Morcheeba, which released five albums with Skye as lead vocalist. In 2003, the band split, after which Skye released two solo albums: Mind How You Go in 2006, and Keeping Secrets in 2009. In 2010, Edwards returned to Morcheeba, again as lead vocalist. In 2012, she released her third solo album, Back to Now, while in 2015 she released her fourth album, In a Low Light.
Bryan Shelton White is an American country music singer and songwriter. Signed to Asylum Records in 1994 at age 20, White released his self-titled debut album that year. Both it and its follow-up, 1996's Between Now and Forever, were certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, and 1997's The Right Place was certified gold. His fourth album, 1999's How Lucky I Am, produced two top 40 singles, with the song "God Gave Me You" eventually becoming a big hit in the Philippines.
Michael H. McDonald is an American singer, keyboardist and songwriter known for his distinctive, soulful voice and as a member of Steely Dan (1973–1974), and the Doobie Brothers. McDonald wrote and sang several hit singles with the Doobie Brothers, including "What a Fool Believes", "Minute by Minute", and "Takin' It to the Streets." McDonald has also performed as a prominent backing vocalist on numerous recordings by artists including Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, and Kenny Loggins.
Reuben Timothy Morgan is an Australian worship pastor at Hillsong Church and one of several worship leaders and songwriters in Hillsong Worship group. Prior to this he was a worship pastor at Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. He has written songs such as "Eagles Wings", "Hear Our Praises", "I Give You My Heart", "My Redeemer Lives" and "Mighty to Save", which won the Worship Song of the Year at the 40th GMA Dove Awards. In 2005 his first solo worship album, World Through Your Eyes, debuted at No. 3 in the Australian Christian Charts.
"Stop the Clocks" is a song by English rock band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Written by guitarist and vocalist Noel Gallagher in 2001, the song was originally recorded for the Oasis album Don't Believe the Truth in 2004, but was removed from the final track listing. When the band released a compilation of the same name, it was rumoured that the song would appear as a bonus track on the album, but as of 2009 the song remained unreleased. A studio performance of the song, believed to be dating from the Don't Believe the Truth recording sessions, as well as a live version performed in May 2003, were leaked onto the internet on 6 May 2008 by an Oasis fansite. On 6 July 2011, it was announced that "Stop the Clocks" would finally be released on Noel Gallagher's debut solo album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

The Return of the Magnificent Seven is the second collaborative album between Motown label-mates The Supremes and Four Tops, released in 1971. The production only featured two covers compared to their first album together, The Magnificent 7, that included more than eight. The Strange Familiar is an American pop rock band from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The group was originally formed in 2006 by the husband and wife singer-songwriter team Jeff Andrea and Kira Leyden, former members of the popular Akron, OH band Jaded Era. Their first single, "Courage Is...", gained them significant attention after it was heavily promoted on ABC Family to launch a brand new series. In 2012, the band was featured on mtvU, Season 3 of the hit series The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars. Other members include fellow Ohio natives Frank Freeman (bass) and Nicholas Sainato (drums).
"If You Could See Me Now" is a 1946 jazz standard, composed by Tadd Dameron. He wrote it especially for vocalist Sarah Vaughan, a frequent collaborator. Lyrics were written by Carl Sigman and it became one of Vaughan's signature songs, inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998. Dameron himself included a version, sung by Barbara Winfield, on his 1962 album The Magic Touch.

It reached No. 4 in the UK Albums Chart, No. 1 in Denmark, No. 21 in Australia and No. 19 in New Zealand. It was certified Gold in the UK.
