Reggaeton, also known as reggaetón or reguetón, is a modern style of popular and electronic music that originated in Panamá during the late 1980s, and which rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s through a plethora of Puerto Rican musicians. It has been popularized and dominated by artists from Puerto Rico since the early 1990s.
Regional Mexican music refers collectively to the regional subgenres of the country music of Mexico and its derivatives from the Southwestern United States. Each subgenre is representative of a certain region and its popularity also varies by regions. Carolina Giraldo Navarro, known professionally as Karol G, is a Colombian singer. Considered one of the most influential reggaeton and urban pop artists, she has received awards including a Grammy, five Latin Grammy Awards and four Billboard Music Awards. She was recognized with the Woman of the Year and Rulebreaker Award at the Billboard Women in Music, with the Spirit of Hope Award at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, and has five Guinness World Records.
Yalitza Aparicio Martínez is a Mexican actress. She made her film debut as Cleo in Alfonso Cuarón's 2018 drama Roma, which earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress; Aparicio was the first Indigenous American woman to be nominated for that award. In 2019, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world. She was also named the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Indigenous Peoples in the same year.

It was released on 15 November 2019 through Universal Music Group as a non-single album. The song was written by Laferte and Guaynaa, and it was produced by Manu Jalil. A music video was released on 5 December 2019, featuring Guaynaa and Mexican actress Yalitza Aparicio.
Neoperreo is a subgenre of reggaeton with some degree of popularity in Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Chile. Among the most prominent acts of the scene are Tomasa del Real from Chile and Ms Nina from Argentina. Within the United States, neoperreo is more popular in Los Angeles than in Miami, where traditional reggaeton prevails. Red Bull Music has been significant patron of neoperreo artists.
"Relación" is a song recorded by Panamanian singer and songwriter Sech. The song was released on April 1, 2020 as the second single from his sophomore studio album 1 of 1, released a month later. It was written by the performer alongside its producers and Joshua Méndez and Ramses Herrera. The track was produced by Jorge Valdes and Miguel Andrés Martínez, better known as Dímelo Flow and Slow Mike. "Relación" became a top ten hit in Panama, Argentina and Spain as well as a very popular song on TikTok. In the United States, the track made it to the twenty-second position on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart.
Natanael Ruben Cano Monge is a Mexican rapper, musician and singer. Natanael is known for his fusion of trap music and regional Mexican corridos, known as corridos tumbados. The idea to fuse the two genres was proposed by Dan Sanchez who wrote Natanael's first corrido tumbado, "Soy el Diablo".
Antonio Herrera Pérez, known professionally as Junior H, is a Mexican singer-songwriter. He is considered a major artist of the corridos tumbados movement, having popularized the genre with his earlier studio albums.

"La Bebé" is a song by Mexican singer Yng Lvcas, released as first single from his second mixtape LPM on 24 December, 2021, same day of the release of the mixtape. The song was written by Yng Lvcas and Héctor Adrián Salazar Aguayo and produced by Bounce Bosses. The single and mixtape were released through the independent label We Are Bosses Records, before he signed with Warner Music and his musical catalog became promoted by this company. The song was going to be part of his previous album Wup? Mixtape 1 (2021), an album of corridos but since it was a reggaeton song he decided not to add it.
Víctor Daniel Valladares Barrientos, known artistically as Dani Flow, is a Mexican neoperreo and alternative reggaeton musician, known for his vulgar, sexual lyrics. His song "Reggeaton Champagne", in collaboration with Bellakath, went viral on social media in 2023.
