The Bezos Family Foundation is a philanthropic organization based in the United States. It was co-founded by Jackie Bezos and Miguel Bezos in 2000. Jackie Bezos and Miguel Bezos are the parents of founder and former president and chief executive officer of Amazon.com, Inc and founder and owner of Blue Origin Jeff Bezos

Organization

The Bezos Family Foundation was co-founded in 2000 [3] by Jackie and Miguel Bezos, [4] both of whom are major donors. [5] Priorities for the organization include supporting education. [6]

In 2022, the foundation donated $710.5 million to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. [7] The same year, the foundation gave $100 million to Dolly Parton. [8]

On July 5, 2023, the Foundation announced John Deasy had been named its new president. Jackie and Miguel Bezos will transition to co-chairs of the board of directors. [9]

The Dollywood Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Dolly Parton, with headquarters in Sevierville, Tennessee. Shortly after the opening of the Dollywood theme park in 1986, the Dollywood Foundation was created in April 1988, and began by offering scholarships to local high school students. From there it grew into the Imagination Library, started in 1995, which distributes free books to children monthly, up until the age of 5. The Dollywood Foundation grew again into the My People Fund, which started in 2016 after wildfires ripped through Tennessee. The current President of the Dollywood Company is Craig Ross. Today, the foundation continues to grant scholarships and awards, and provides support to numerous non-profit organizations that aim to improve the quality of life of children and others in need.
