Braulio Castillo Jr. (born August 30, 1958) is a Puerto Rican actor and radio host. He is the son of Braulio Castillo, an actor across Latin America, and the brother of the lesser known Jorge Castillo, also a television and theater actor.

For a short time during the 1970s, he was first known in Puerto Rico doing newsbreaks for WKBM-TV Channel 11 in Caguas, now Univision O&O WLII. [1]
Castillo reached national fame in Puerto Rico when he participated in the 1984 Spanish soap opera Coralito at San Juan-based WKAQ-TV Channel 2. There, he shared star billing with Mexican actor Salvador Pineda and with Puerto Rican actress Sully Diaz. Afterwards, Castillo reached teen idol status across Puerto Rico. In 1985, he was one of the stars of the successful telenovela Tanairi , alongside actress Von Marie Mendez. That year (1985), Castillo was hired to co-host a game show named Adelante Juventud (Come on, Youth) alongside Myraida Chaves. [2] He also starred in three telenovelas alongside fellow Puerto Rican actress Millie Aviles.
Castillo subsequently acted on numerous telenovelas in Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
In the 1990s he starred in the sitcom,Tres Hombres y..., inspired by the movie Three Men and a Baby , alongside Raymond Arrieta and Alba Nydia Díaz on the WKAQ-TV Telemundo de Puerto Rico network. Castillo also was the leading man of the telenovela Karina Montaner, opposite Giselle Blondet, broadcast by WAPA-TV Channel 4 in San Juan. For several years, Braulio starred in various soap operas in Colombia.
In 2003, Castillo starred in the film Los Diaz de Doris , alongside Cordelia Gonzalez and Velda González, Kidany Lugo and former Major League Baseball player Cirilo Cruz.
In 2006, he performed the role of Zacks in the musical A Chorus Line , at the Caguas Performing Arts Center, alongside Marian Pabón and Daniela Droz, among others. Castillo was acknowledged not only for his acting, but for his phenomenal attributes as a stage dancer.
Starting in 2007, he co-hosted a daily radio morning talk show alongside Mirayda Chaves while keeping on performing in numerous theatre productions in San Juan.
Also in 2007, Castillo performed the leading role in director Jacobo Morales's film Ángel .
In 2011 he starred in the Puerto Rican premiere of Yasmina Reza's play God of Carnage at the Tapia Theatre in San Juan.
He starred in the Puerto Rican production of Jerry Herman's La Cage Aux Folles as Georges, opening in August 2013 at the Luis A Ferré Performing Arts Center in San Juan.
Early in 2014, Castillo revealed that he had battled prostate cancer in 2011. [3]
On early October 2020, he revealed that he had gone through an emotional crisis, due to a personal situation as well as the uncertainty of the pandemic, which lead for him to seek help at the hospital for depression symptoms. [4]

WKAQ-TV is a television station in San Juan, Puerto Rico, serving as the U.S. territory's dual Telemundo and NBC outlet. It is owned and operated by the Telemundo Station Group subsidiary of NBCUniversal. WKAQ-TV's studios are located on Franklin Roosevelt Avenue in San Juan near Hiram Bithorn Stadium, and its transmitter is located on Cerro la Santa in Cayey near the Bosque Estatal de Carite mountain reserve.

During the 1950s the impending arrival of television created public expectation in Puerto Rico, even influencing other entertainment mediums in the form of a song. WKAQ-TV was the first station to introduce regular programing in 1954, followed closely by WAPA-TV. The owners of these stations, Ángel Ramos and José Ramón Quiñones, brought their experience in the newspaper and radio industries to the new medium. The competition between WKAQ and WAPA would continue for decades, with both disputing the milestones of first videotape in 1966, first color transmission and satellite transmission in 1968. During decades, the ratings were dominated by local programming produced by Tommy Muñiz and Paquito Cordero, which adopted a family friendly approach. However, the retirement of the former, combined with the introduction of cable television and the acquisition of the largest stations by foreign interest brought changes in content beginning in the 1980s, with late-night shows and double entendre gaining prominence. Digital television was introduced to the market in 2009, widely displacing analog television.
Ivonne del Rosario Goderich Gonzalez, better known as Ivonne Goderich is a Puerto Rican actress, show host and playwright. Goderich is considered, along with Sully Diaz, Von Marie Mendez, Millie Aviles and Giselle Blondet, as one of the five queens of the telenovela genre in Puerto Rico during the 1980s. Of the five, Goderich was the only one who worked for Canal 4 at the time, as the other four worked for Canal 2 instead.
Jennifer Wolff Conde was a Puerto Rican television reporter, show host, company executive and writer. From 1981 to 1996, Wolff appeared on multiple Puerto Rican television news shows, becoming a celebrity in the island. She also wrote several published papers, including "¿Hacía Dónde Va el Sistema Eléctrico?
