Chelcie Claude Ross[ citation needed ] (born June 20, 1942)[ citation needed ] is an American character actor, most known for Above the Law , Major League , Basic Instinct , Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey , Hoosiers , Rudy , Trouble with the Curve and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs .
He served in Vietnam as an officer in the United States Air Force where he was awarded a Bronze Star, before leaving the service in 1970. He later earned an MFA from the Dallas Theater Center.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company is a Chicago theater company founded in 1974 by Terry Kinney, Jeff Perry, and Gary Sinise in the Immaculate Conception grade school in Highland Park, Illinois and is now located in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood on Halsted Street. It had its Broadway debut at the Imperial Theater on December 4, 2007, and the production transferred to the Music Box Theatre on April 29, 2008. The Broadway show closed on June 28, 2009, after 648 performances and 18 previews.
