History

The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the original Foton Tornadoes. [1] Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. [2] [3]

On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL. [4] They became the first-ever volleyball champions in a fully-professional league when they won the 2021 PVL Open Conference title. [5]

Chery's former mother team, Foton Tornadoes would be reformed in 2023 and is due to play alongside them in the 2023 Invitational Conference. [6]

International tournaments

Chery Tiggo Crossovers has participated in various international tournaments as the original Foton Tornadoes.

Chery, under its current branding, would be invited to take part in the 2021 edition of the Asian Club Championship after winning the 2021 PVL Open Conference. [7] [8] However they declined to enter due to COVID-19 pandemic-related concerns. [9]
