The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) is the upper house of the Parliament of South Africa under the (post-apartheid) constitution which came into full effect in 1997. It replaced the former Senate, but is very similar to that body, and to many other upper houses of legislatures throughout the world, in that its purpose is to represent the governments of the provinces, rather than directly representing the people.

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) is a non-departmental public body funded by the UK Treasury, that the UK government established to provide independent economic forecasts and independent analysis of the public finances. The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is a committee of selected members of parliament, constituted by the Parliament of India, for the purpose of auditing the revenue and the expenditure of the Government of India. They check that parliament exercises over the executive stems from the basic principle that parliament embodies the will of the people. This committee along with the Estimates committee (EC) and Committee on Public Undertakings (COPU) are the three financial standing committees of the Parliament of India.
Cedric Thomas Frolick, is the current House Chairperson: Committees, Oversight and ICT in the National Assembly of Parliament for the Republic of South Africa. A teacher, politician, anti-apartheid activist. He retired from teaching in 1999 and subsequently became a politician in the National Assembly. On 18 November 2010, the ANC appointed him as the House Chairperson responsible for Committees, ICT and Oversight.
Roberto Gualtieri is an Italian historian, academic and politician of the Democratic Party (PD), incumbent Mayor of Rome since 2021 and Minister of Economy and Finances in the second government of Giuseppe Conte from 2019 until 2021. Anne-Karin Glase is a German former Christian Democratic Union of Germany politician who has served three terms as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Germany constituency for the European People's Party Group from March 1991 to July 2004. She had previously represented the Potsdam constituency as a member of the East German parliament Volkskammer between March 1990 and October 1990. Glase was on various committees such as the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and the Committee on Budgets during the period she was an MEP.
Magdalene Hoff was a German Social Democratic Party of Germany politician who served five terms in the European Parliament as a member of the West Germany constituency and later the constituency of Germany on behalf of the Socialist Group later the Group of the Party of European Socialists then from July 1979 to July 2004. She was vice-president of the European Parliament between 1997 and 1999. Hoff was a member of several committees such as the Committee on Budgetary Control and the Committee on Budgets. She was a recipient of the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Sakhumzi Stoffels Somyo is a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress, he was elected to the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature in 2014. He was then appointed as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) responsible for the Finance, Economic Development, Environment and Tourism portfolio. In 2018, he was fired as an MEC. Somyo was elected to Parliament in 2019. Soon after, he was elected Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Auditor General.
