Kimberley Gail Marsh is an English actress, television presenter and singer. In 2001, she won a place in the band Hear'Say as a result of appearing on the reality television series Popstars. Hear'Say enjoyed brief success, achieving two UK number one singles and a UK number one album, but Marsh left the band in 2002 to pursue a solo career. She released an album titled Standing Tall in 2003, which peaked at number nine in the UK and spawned two UK top ten singles.

Michelle Connor is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Coronation Street, portrayed by former Hear'Say singer Kym Marsh. The character first appeared on-screen during the episode airing on 3 April 2006. Marsh took maternity leave in January 2011, and the character returned on 3 November 2011. On 24 February 2019, it was announced that Marsh would be leaving the soap after 13 years and Michelle's final episode aired on 27 December 2019.

Foote had previously appeared in the soap in January of that same year as Jess Burrows. In the show, Katy is the youngest daughter of Owen Armstrong and sister of Izzy Armstrong. Her storylines mostly revolve around her relationship with Chesney Brown, her pregnancy, and being a mother to Joseph and embarking on an affair with Ryan Connor. Foote's departure from the show was announced in April 2014, with her filming her final scenes on 16 February 2015 and the character departing on 20 March 2015. The character Katy was killed off-screen in a car accident in Portugal on 18 October 2017.
Rob Donovan is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Coronation Street, portrayed by Marc Baylis He was introduced as the brother of Carla Connor. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 9 July 2012. In June 2014 it was announced that Baylis would be leaving the role after two years after being involved in a storyline where Rob was responsible for murdering Tina McIntyre. Rob departed on 5 November 2014. In August 2015 it was reported that Baylis would be reprising the role as Rob and he returned to filming in October for a short storyline. His return aired on 4 December 2015 and he departed a month later on 4 January 2016. He returned on 19 April 2017 and departed on 8 May 2017.
Tim Metcalfe is a fictional character from the British television soap opera Coronation Street, played by Joe Duttine. He made his first on-screen appearance on 21 January 2013. Duttine had previously appeared in the soap between February and June 2010 as D.S. Carr, the police officer that arrested Gail McIntyre for the murder of her husband, Joe McIntyre. Tim is introduced as Faye Windass' biological father. Kate Oates is a British television producer, who was born in Nottingham and graduated from Warwick University. She began her career working as a researcher and editorial assistant for Germaine Greer, before becoming a script editor for the soap opera Crossroads. In 2003, she joined the radio soap The Archers as a producer, a position which Oates credits as the majority of her training. After resigning from this job, Oates began working on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale as a script editor, during which time she assisted with the soap's fortieth anniversary celebrations and worked on British Soap Award-winning storylines. She remained in the position until 2012 when she joined Coronation Street as the assistant producer.
