The Queensland Reds is the rugby union team for the Australian state of Queensland that competes in the Southern Hemisphere's Super Rugby competition. Prior to 1996, they were a representative team selected from the rugby union club competitions in Queensland. With the introduction of the professional Super 12 competition they moved to a model where players are contracted to the Reds through the Queensland Rugby Union rather than selected on the basis of club form.
Les Kiss is an Australian professional rugby union coach who is the current head coach of Super Rugby Pacific side the Queensland Reds. Prior to this he was head coach of London Irish in the Gallagher Premiership until the club went into administration in June 2023.

While playing for the Brumbies, Butler also played for National Rugby Championship the Canberra Vikings, where he served as captain.
Stephen Fitzgerald is an Irish former rugby union player, who played for his native province Munster and Connacht during his career. Fitzgerald played primarily as a fullback, but could also play on either wing, and represented Shannon in the All-Ireland League.
David Jason Horwitz, commonly referred to as Dave, is an Australian rugby union player who plays as a Centre for Sydney rugby club Randwick. He formerly played for Irish rugby club Connacht and domestically New South Wales Country Eagles who did compete in the National Rugby Championship (NRC). His regular playing position is fly-half, however, Horwitz has played multiple positions in the past, including Centre.
Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, is an Australian rugby union player. He plays for the Northampton Saints in Premiership Rugby. He has played for the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby, and his usual position is lock but he has also played in the backrow for the Wallabies particularly at blindside flanker.
Kieran Paul Treadwell is a professional rugby union player who plays as a lock for United Rugby Championship club Ulster. Born in England, he represents Ireland at international level after qualifying on ancestry grounds.
Andrew Deegan is an Australian rugby union footballer who plays for Global Rapid Rugby side Western Force. He plays as a fly-half. He is also the father to Jude Gibbs.
Declan Moore is a New Zealand-born, Australian rugby union player who plays for Anthem Rugby Carolina in Major League Rugby (MLR). He plays as a hooker.
Michael McDonald is an Irish Australian rugby union player who currently plays for the Irish team Connacht, on loan from Ulster, both of whom compete in the United Rugby Championship (URC). His playing position is scrum-half. He signed to the professional team, the New South Wales Waratahs, in the Super Rugby, for the 2020 season. Ulster announced in July 2022 that McDonald would be joining them on a one-year deal. He was selected for the Emerging Ireland squad for the Toyota Challenge in South Africa in September 2022. In April 2023 it was announced he would move to Connacht on a season-long loan.
The 2019–20 season was Irish provincial rugby union side Connacht Rugby's nineteenth season competing in the Pro14, and the team's twenty-fourth season as a professional side. It was Andy Friend's second season in charge of the side.
Cormac Izuchukwu is an Irish rugby union player who plays lock for Ulster in the United Rugby Championship.

The 2024 Queensland Reds season is the 28th and current Queensland Reds season in the Super Rugby since entering the professional era in 1996. In addition to the domestic competition played across the Tasman and the Pacific, the Reds will also host Wales on their tour of Australia following the conclusion of the season.
