Cove Hot Springs is a pool constructed directly over a natural hot spring in the Grande Ronde Valley of northeastern Oregon, U.S. [1] The 86 °F (30 °C) water flows at 300 US gallons (1,100 l) per minute which replaces the 15-by-15-foot (4.6 by 4.6 m) pool several times per day. [1]

The Grande Ronde Valley is a valley in Union County in northeastern Oregon, United States. It is surrounded by the Blue Mountains, and is drained by the Grande Ronde River. La Grande is its largest community. The valley is 35 miles (56 km) long, north to south, from Pumpkin Ridge to Pyles Canyon, and 15 miles (24 km) wide, east to west, from Cove to the Grande Ronde River's canyon. Its name, fittingly, means, "great circle."

The range is sometimes considered to be an eastern spur of the Blue Mountains, and it is known as the "Alps of Oregon". Much of the range is designated as the Eagle Cap Wilderness, part of the Wallowa–Whitman National Forest.
