Daisy Wood-Davis is a British singer and actress. She has appeared in several stage productions, including Dreamboats and Petticoats as Laura and The Rocky Horror Show as Janet Weiss. From 2014 to 2018, she played the role of Kim Butterfield in Hollyoaks . In 2019, she recurred as Phoebe Palmer in Holby City .
Wood-Davis grew up in Petts Wood, and attended Crofton School and later Darrick Wood School. [1] She trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. [1]
While she was at Italia Conti, Wood-Davis saw an advertisement for open auditions for Bill Kenwright's production of Dreamboats and Petticoats . She attended the audition and was given the lead role of Laura. [1] She stated, "I had my West End debut as a lead part at the age of 18. It was unbelievable, it was all my dreams and more. It was amazing." [1] Wood-Davis also toured with the production, [2] [3] [4] and featured on a cast album, which has sold over 60,000 copies.[ citation needed ]
Wood-Davis later signed a record deal with Universal Music. She also played Janet Weiss in the European tour of the musical The Rocky Horror Show . [5]
In November 2012, Wood-Davis appeared in one episode of BBC soap opera EastEnders as Tansy Meadow, the sister of established character Poppy Meadow (Rachel Bright). [6] She also appears as Tansy in a 15-minute spin-off episode called "All I Want for Christmas". [7]
From 2014 to 2018, she played the role of Kim Butterfield in Hollyoaks , the sister of Lindsey Butterfield (Sophie Austin). [8]
Following her departure from Hollyoaks, Wood-Davis made a guest appearance as Phoebe Palmer in Holby City . [9] She later returned to film further appearances, which aired in late 2019. [10]
In 2019, she played the role of Sheila in Hair the Musical , in Glasgow and Edinburgh. [11] In November 2019, it was announced that Wood-Davis would play singer-songwriter Carole King in the UK and Ireland touring production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical in 2020. [12]
Wood-Davis announced her engagement to her Hollyoaks co-star Luke Jerdy in August 2019. [13] In May 2021, Wood-Davis and Jerdy announced that they were expecting their first child together, and their son was born on 28 September 2021. [14] On 18 June 2022, Jerdy and Wood-Davis married. [15]

Silas Blissett is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Jeff Rawle. Rawle's casting was announced in December 2010 and it was revealed that he would portray a serial killer. Rawle was approached by Hollyoaks and met with series producer, Paul Marquess, who explained the role of Silas and his storyline. Rawle found the storyline something which he would like to "have a crack at". The actor said that the role of Silas is "very interesting" for him as he had not played a murderer in his career before. He made his first on-screen appearance in episode 2979, originally broadcast on 23 December 2010. However, Silas departed for the first time on 4 November 2011. Silas returned on 19 July 2012, as a guest stint. Silas returned again in 2016 as well as making two further returns in 2020 and 2022 with this being his last return as he was killed off in a final showdown with the McQueens.
Poppy Meadow is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Rachel Bright. She was introduced by executive producer Bryan Kirkwood on 11 January 2011 as the best friend of established character Jodie Gold in scenes filling in for those cut from a controversial baby-swap storyline. Poppy returned to the series in June 2011 as a supporting character and comedy element, in a move that was generally welcomed by the tabloid press; her storylines focused on her friendship with Jodie and their intertwined love lives. Both Jodie and Poppy left the series on 14 November 2011, but the possibility was left open for Poppy to return in the future. In June 2012 Bright reprised her role as Poppy, moving into Walford and resuming her employment at the local beauty salon, this time as a regular character. Poppy's storylines became more prominent, including a romantic relationship with Fatboy. Phoebe McQueen is a fictional character from the British soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Mandip Gill. The character made her first appearance during the episode broadcast on 17 January 2012. Phoebe was involved in many of the shows main storyline, such as her friendship with fellow homeless teen George Smith, her relationship with gay refugee Vincent Elegba, being involved in the 2014 train crash which killed Carmel McQueen and being accused of murdering her aunt Mercedes McQueen. Gill left the role in 2015 and Phoebe made her last appearance on 16 June 2015 when she was killed by the Gloved Hand Killer, Lindsey Roscoe.
Robbie Roscoe is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Charlie Wernham. He made his first screen appearance on 2 April 2013. Robbie is part of the Roscoe family and the first member to be introduced. On 19 March 2013, a Channel 4 press release revealed that Robbie "leads the way for a family of boys to descend on Hollyoaks, headed by Gillian Taylforth as mother, Sandy." Wernham's casting was confirmed on 27 March 2013. Wernham auditioned for the show the previous year, attending his second audition on 24 October 2012. Daniel Kilkelly from Digital Spy later revealed Robbie is a "troublesome new student" and he would befriend established character Callum Kane. The writer added that Robbie's headteacher Patrick Blake thinks he can control his behaviour. But Robbie soon begins to cause trouble.
Vincent Elegba is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by John Omole. The character made his first screen appearance on 16 April 2013. Vincent is an illegal immigrant from Nigeria. He left the country to seek refuge fearing persecution because he is gay. The storyline has been described as an original by those involved. The show worked closely with LGBT charity Stonewall to portray the issue. His main scene partners have been Phoebe McQueen and George Smith. His friendship with Phoebe explored unrequited love as she pursued a relationship while Vincent fell in love with George. His subsequent detaining by immigration officials found him placed on remand and becoming the victim of homophobic violence. The character has proved unpopular with critic Anthony D. Langford from TheBacklot.com who has often deemed his relationship with George as implausible.
Kim Butterfield is a fictional character from the British soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Daisy Wood-Davis. The character made her first appearance during the episode broadcast on 7 October 2014. The character and Wood-Davis' casting were announced on 23 September 2014. Kim was created to explore established character Lindsey Butterfield's backstory and to act as a love interest for Esther Bloom. Kim is characterised as a feisty female nurse with a complex personality. She can be evil, manipulative and obsessive but fun-loving and bubbly in other scenes. Wood-Davis has explained that when her character is "alone in her own head" she becomes insane. The character's storylines have often focused on her obsessions with other characters. During her first year on-screen, she had obsessions with Joe Roscoe, Grace Black and her sister Lindsey. Her relationship with Esther remained centric to her role in the show, but Kim's affair with Grace ruined the relationship. Producers also created a dramatic car crash stunt around the character.
