Damien Bodie (born 2 January 1985) is an Australian television actor from Melbourne. Bodie began his career securing roles in children's television roles such as his three-year stint as Ram Foley in Crash Zone . He later secured the regular role of Dylan Timmins in the soap opera Neighbours . In 2011, he took the role of Jonathan Kurtiss in the drama series Winners & Losers and remained until 2014.

Career

Bodie was educated at Sandringham Secondary College. Bodie first appeared on television aged seven. [1] He also appeared in the 2005 Australian film Hating Alison Ashley and as Josh in the 2002 Canadian-Australian television series Guinevere Jones . Bodie also appeared in The Saddle Club .

In 1999, he began appearing as Ram Foley in the children's series Crash Zone . [2] In 2002, he played Oscar Coxon in the children's series Short Cuts , which aired on the Seven Network. [3] He has also secured guest roles in Ocean Girl , Blue Heelers and City Homicide . [1]

Damien Bodie had previously made two appearances in the soap opera Neighbours as Charlie Moyes in 1996 and Liam Rigby in 1999, before securing the regular role of Dylan Timmins in 2005. [4]

In 2008, Bodie portrayed Vashan in the Australian children's television series The Elephant Princess . [5] In July 2010, Bodie joined the cast of Seven Network's new drama series in the Australian drama series, Winners & Losers , playing Jonathan Kurtiss. [6] [7] Bodie had previously worked with Winners and Losers producer Maryanne Carroll on the show Short Cuts. Carroll remembered his performance and helped him secure the role. [3]

On 24 November 2019, Neighbours confirmed that Bodie had reprised the role of Dylan for the show's 35th anniversary in March 2020. [8]

Bodie is currently living in Los Angeles.

Dylan is introduced as part of the extended Timmins family, created around the established character Stingray Timmins. Dylan is characterised as a "bad boy" and often gets into trouble with his criminal behaviour. He is also very loyal and protects his family no matter the consequence. Dylan is portrayed as having a difficult relationship with his mother Janelle Timmins, who blames him for any problems in the family. His introduction into the series explored their mother/son dynamic as Dylan feels unloved by Janelle. Winners & Losers is an Australian television drama series first broadcast on the Seven Network on 22 March 2011. It was created by the producers of Packed to the Rafters and is aired in the show's former time slot. Winners & Losers focuses on the lives of four women living in Melbourne, after they win a large amount of money in the Oz Lotto. Seven renewed Winners & Losers for a second season in July 2011 and it began airing from 26 June 2012. Two months later, it was announced the series had been renewed for a third season. "The plane crash" is a storyline from the Australian television soap opera Neighbours that began on 24 October 2005 when an aeroplane, carrying several characters, crashed in Bass Strait after a bomb was detonated during the journey. The storyline aired as part of the show's 20th anniversary and would be the catalyst for several major storylines that aired the following year. "The plane crash" also saw the departures of three established characters: David, Liljana and Serena Bishop. The actors' departures had been announced in May 2005, but it was not confirmed they would depart during "The plane crash" until their last scenes aired.

Damien Richardson is an Australian film, television and theatre actor. Since 2021 he has been a political campaigner promoting an anti-vax agenda. A graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts, Richardson has appeared in a variety of Australian films and television shows, including Blue Heelers, McLeod's Daughters, Redball, The Hard Word, Rogue, Conspiracy 365 and Wentworth. He and co-writer Luke Elliot won the Best New Comedy-Drama award at the Melbourne Fringe Festival for their play The Belly Of The Whale. One of Richardson's best known roles is Detective Matt Ryan in the crime drama City Homicide, which he played from 2007 until 2011. Since 2012, Richardson has starred as Drew Greer in the Jack Irish television films and subsequent 2016 series. He played Gary Canning in the soap opera Neighbours from 2014 to 2020. In 2021, Richardson quit acting to launch a failed bid to gain a seat as an independent in the Victorian state senate.

Nicholas Russell is an Australian television actor, producer and director from Melbourne. Known professionally as Nick Russell, he began his career aged twelve when he starred in the Nine Network children's series Pig's Breakfast as Rodney Green. He studied science/law at university and took a job with a law firm which filled his time between acting roles which included guest parts on the soap opera Neighbours and the comedy drama series Sleuth 101.

<i>Neighbours</i> 35th Anniversary Episode of Neighbours

Neighbours celebrated its 35th Anniversary during the week comprising 16–20 March 2020. This consisted of the five regular weekday episodes as well as five extra episodes as part of a series titled Neighbours: Endgame, aired as the second part to the regular episodes.
