Devon Carlo Anderson [1] (born 25 August 1987) is an English actor. Anderson's roles include Billie Jackson in EastEnders and Sonny Valentine in Hollyoaks .

Anderson made his acting debut when he played three-year-old Glenn in Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould . He then went on to appear in the BBC soap EastEnders where he played the character Billie Jackson from 1993-97. He made an appearance in the 1997 film Spiceworld as one of the competition winners that falls into the river during a video shoot. He then played David in the television drama, The Greatest Store in the World . In 2002, he appeared in the children's comedy film Thunderpants playing the character of Dan. His next role was in 2002's CBBC programme Ace Lightning where he played Pete, the British friend of the main character, Mark. The character appeared in internet talks with Mark at the start of the programme and sometimes at the end.
In 2003, Anderson starred as the lead character in the CBBC sitcom Kerching! , Taj Lewis, an Internet whizzkid who was trying to make a million pounds for his widowed mother. In 2006, he won the role of Sonny Valentine in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks , but his contract was terminated by the show's producer Bryan Kirkwood on 6 January 2007. He has also made an appearance on the television show TMi , and appeared on Doctors on 15 May 2008.
In summer 2009, Anderson starred as Kian Oduya in the online drama Who Killed Summer sponsored by Vodafone which saw six young characters travelling Europe and the UK culminating in a murder mystery.
It was confirmed in November 2009 that Anderson would reprise the role of Billie Jackson in EastEnders, 15 years after he was last seen on the soap. [2] He remained in the soap until October 2010 when Anderson was sacked, once again, by Bryan Kirkwood, who was the EastEnders producer at the time, and his character Billie was killed off.
In 2012, he was in a production at the Riverside Studios, Hammersmith called 'Concrete Jungle'.[ citation needed ] He also starred as Sinbad's brother, Jamil, in BBC's series "Sinbad" for one series, July–September, 2012.
Anderson appeared in one episode of Casualty in December 2018 as homeless man Robby Watts. [3]
Following his role in Kerching!, Anderson became a CBBC presenter. He presented on both the BBC1 CBBC show and the CBBC Channel.

He made his return on 4 February 2010. The character was killed off in October 2010, and made his last credited appearance on 14 October.

Sonny Valentine is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Aaron Fontaine. The role was initially played by Devon Anderson until 2007 when producer Bryan Kirkwood fired Anderson. In 2014, the role was recast when Kirkwood decided to reintroduce the character. On 12 November 2014, Sonny was killed off in a train explosion along with Carmel McQueen, when Carmel rescued her cousin Theresa McQueen from Sonny.

Calvin Valentine is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Ricky Whittle. He arrived in July 2006 as a police officer with his mother Diane Valentine, his brother Sonny Valentine and his sister Sasha Valentine and made his final appearance on 21 May 2010 after he was murdered by Theresa McQueen. Whittle was credited for a flashback episode on 1 December 2010. Calvin appeared again as a ghost to tell his wife and Theresa's Cousin Carmel McQueen that his and Theresa's daughter, Kathleen-Angel McQueen, was fine with Theresa in February 2011.
Niall Rafferty is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Barry Sloane. He first appeared during an episode broadcast on 3 December 2007. Former Brookside actor Sloane was cast as the "mysterious" hairdresser Niall and was introduced by the series' producer Bryan Kirkwood. During Sloane's portrayal of Niall on-screen, he was central to a storyline involving the already-established McQueen family and it was revealed Niall was the illegitimate son of Myra McQueen. The storyline featured Niall seek revenge on the McQueens, which concluded in highly advertised episodes featuring Niall kidnapping his siblings and causing the death of his half-sister Tina Reilly. Niall was portrayed by upcoming actor Devon Jackson, the older brother of Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson, in flashback scenes depicting Niall's childhood.
Bryan Kirkwood is a British television producer. He was the producer of the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 2006 until 2009 and was the executive producer of the BBC soap EastEnders from 2010 until 2012. He returned as the executive producer of Hollyoaks in late 2012, before leaving again in March 2021. His final episodes aired in June of that year. In 2022, he returned to EastEnders as a writer.
Theresa McQueen is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Jorgie Porter. She made her first appearance on 24 November 2008. The character was introduced as an extension of already established McQueen family and quickly became a fan favourite for her cute, bubbly personality and dark storylines. During her first five years on the show, Porter was featured in numerous high-profile storylines, including: underage sex; the murder of Calvin Valentine ; teenage pregnancy; being the target of serial killer Silas Blissett ; falling down a lift shaft; discovering her boyfriend, Ethan Scott was dating two other women and forming a friendship with the girls; finding her long-lost father; relationships with Dodger Savage, Will Savage and Joel Dexter ; and her arrest for Calvin's murder. Porter announced her departure from the soap in October 2013 so she could focus on Dancing on Ice. Her exit scenes aired on 9 January 2014.
Kathleen McQueen is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Alison Burrows. She first appeared during late-night spin-off Hollyoaks Later in September 2009 as the sister of Myra McQueen and mother of Theresa McQueen. Burrows reprised her role as Kathleen in August 2014, but left again in September.
Hollyoaks began airing on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom on 23 October 1995. The target audience was that of teenagers and it initially dramatised the lives of seven of that age group who lived in Hollyoaks, a fictional suburb in the city of Chester in Cheshire, England.
