Diffuser is a rock band from Long Island, New York, that was formed in 1994 by Tomas Costanza (guitar/vocals), Anthony Cangelosi (guitar), Lawrence Sullivan (bass) and Billy Alemaghides (drums).
Originally the band was called Flu Thirteen and released a 7-inch entitled Edgar's Airwaves and an album entitled Spin Cycle before being signed to The Medicine Label. After being signed they released their second album titled In the Foul Key of V.
The band signed with major label Hollywood Records in 2001 and changed their name to Diffuser. In 2001 the band released their first album on Hollywood Records titled Injury Loves Melody. Their single "Karma" was included on the Mission: Impossible 2 soundtrack; it peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and No. 26 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. [2]
Sullivan and Alemaghides left the band in 2003 and were replaced by Peter Schojan and Dan Leo on bass and drums respectively. In March the band toured the country with Simple Plan, Gob and Madcap. Their second album, Making the Grade, was released in July of that year. The songs "I Wonder" and "Get It On" were used in the 2003 movie Freaky Friday . The song "Get It On" also appeared on the soundtrack for the Outlaw Volleyball video game. The first 150,000 copies of the video game contained a bonus music sampler from Diffuser.
In the fall of that year the band joined Hoobastank and The All-American Rejects on the Nokia Unwired Tour. The band did their final US tour in January 2004 with Spitalfield and Silverstein, followed by a tour in Japan in March. In April Hollywood Records dropped them, and they disbanded shortly after. Dan later joined Action Action with ex-members of The Reunion Show and Count the Stars. Diffuser has recently gotten back together and, according to their Myspace, plan to release a new album in spring of 2008 and re-release some Flu Thirteen albums. On May 24, 2008, Diffuser uploaded two new songs from the upcoming album on their MySpace page, entitled "Falling Down" and "Free".

Costanza played bass for The Never Enders from 2005 until the band split in 2006. They released one album, Air Raid Romance, on Indianola Records and shot one video for the single "Broken". The Never Enders are currently working on their new album.
Leo joined Action Action in 2004 and is still currently in the band. They are currently[ when? ] working on their follow-up to 2006's An Army of Shapes Between Wars which was released on Victory Records.

Men, Women & Children was an electropop band formed in 2004 by ex-Glassjaw guitarist Todd Weinstock and TJ Penzone. They released their self-titled debut album in 2006. Penzone initially wanted the band to be named Easy Tiger, but had to rename the band after a band in Chicago by the same name refused to sell him the rights.
Adam David "Atom" Willard is an American drummer who has been a member of several notable musical acts. Willard's drumming career began in 1990 when he joined Rocket from the Crypt, with whom he remained until 2000. Subsequently, he joined The Special Goodness, The Offspring, and in 2005 became a founding member of Angels & Airwaves. In 2007 his departure from The Offspring was announced so Willard could focus on his work with Angels & Airwaves, and in April 2009 he also joined Social Distortion, but left the following March. In June 2011, he joined the band Danko Jones and in October 2011 he announced his amicable departure from Angels & Airwaves. He has been the drummer for Against Me! since 2013.Currently he is playing in the band the Plosivs with other San Diego Rockstars Rob Crow (Pinback) and John Reis and Mrs. Magician bassist Jordan Clark.
Black Light Burns is an American industrial metal band fronted by Wes Borland. Founded in 2005 after Borland departed Limp Bizkit, the band's lineup also includes Nick Annis, Dennis Sanders and Dylan Taylor. Their debut album, Cruel Melody, was released in June 2007 to critical acclaim. They released a covers and b-sides CD/DVD combo package in the summer of 2008 titled Cover Your Heart and the Anvil Pants Odyssey. After a temporary hiatus, the band regrouped in 2012 and released their second album, The Moment You Realize You're Going to Fall in August. The band released a concept album, Lotus Island, in January 2013.

Making The Grade is Diffuser's second album. It featured the band moving away from the hard rock style on "Injury Loves Melody" to more of a pop punk style similar to Sum 41. Soulidium was an American hard rock band formed in Tampa, Florida, United States, in 2006, currently consisting of frontman Michael McKnight, guitarist Braeden Lane, bassist Bobby "Fuzzy" Farrell, and drummer Eric Dietz. Under their original line-up, the band released their debut album, Children of Chaos in mid-2007. The band has toured many well-known bands, including Sevendust, Alice in Chains, Limp Bizkit, Alter Bridge, Puddle of Mudd, Hellyeah, Black Light Burns and Nonpoint. Numerous years after entering into a period of inactivity while attempting to release their sophomore album, initially titled "Fly 2 the Sun, around mid-2011, it was finally released, now re-titled "Awaken" in late 2015. As of 2017, the band is disbanded.

Tomas Costanza is a certified-platinum American record producer/songwriter and owner of the Killingsworth Recording Company. Born in Massapequa, New York, he was first noted in the music industry as the lead singer and guitarist for the band Diffuser. In addition to being signed to Hollywood Records in 2000, several of the band's songs were featured on major motion picture soundtracks including Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Mean Girls and Mission: Impossible 2. As a record producer, Costanza has worked with artists such as Macklemore, Boys Like Girls, Darren Criss, Rachel Platten, 2 Chainz and Icona Pop. Costanza's big break came in 2011 after producing X-Factor finalist Katie Waissel's debut album which reached #1 on the U.K. charts and remained there for five weeks.
Black Suit Youth is an alternative rock band from East Meadow, New York. Formed in 2004 under the original name The New York Dynamite with original line-up of Bryan Maher, Joe Hess (Guitars), Mike Madigan (Bass) and Justin Damers (Drums), the band recorded their debut EP with burgeoning producer Tomas Costanza. In 2007 the band changed their name to Black Suit Youth and released their debut album, "Our Future Is History" which followed touring throughout 2007 and 2008. In 2008 the band replaced bassist Daniela Viteritti with bassist D.J. Meisse and released their second album on All Hail Records. The critically acclaimed Meet Me In Death Valley was released on October 10, 2010. 2010 saw the band touring and supporting Story Of The Year, Armor For Sleep and Alien Ant Farm. 2012 brought another line-up change with Danny Kopij and Bryan Contreras replacing D.J. Meisse and Justin Damers on bass and drums, respectively. In early 2013 bassist Danny Kopij resigned, replaced by Eddie Christian on January 27, 2013. After the 2014 release of Room Without a View, the band went their separate ways. In 2016, Bryan Maher began to put together a new line-up with Fed Canelos on lead guitar. In 2017, Juan Orellana joined as bassist and Robert Scott Abrams on drums. The band has completed their latest album, False South, released December 14, 2018 on 59X Records. Drummer, Lee Nelson joined the band during the summer of 2019. The World Is Almost Over was recorded during the Covid pandemic and released the summer of 2021. BSY is currently working on their next album due out in 2022/23.
