The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations, and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria.

This success was replicated in the league, where the club won four consecutive times. The official CSM mascot is a "tiger". After the selling of Telekom Romania, operator of fixed services, to Orange Romania, it was rebranded to Orange Sport on 28 March 2022.
