Edinburgh Rugby is one of the two professional rugby union teams from Scotland. The club competes in the United Rugby Championship, along with the Glasgow Warriors, its oldest rival. Edinburgh plays the majority of its home games at Edinburgh Rugby Stadium.

He played club rugby union for Kelso, Edinburgh and the Newcastle Falcons; and club rugby league for Widnes and Leeds.
Christopher John Ashton is an English rugby union and former rugby league footballer, and one of the few players who have represented England in both rugby codes. A wing or fullback, he joined Leicester Tigers of Premiership Rugby in February 2022.
Currie Rugby Football Club are an Edinburgh-based rugby union club in the Scottish Rugby Union, they currently play in the Scottish Premiership. Despite the name, "Currie" RFC is actually based in the neighbouring suburb of Balerno, and they play at Malleny Park.
Mike Brown is an English professional rugby union player who plays fullback or wing for Leicester Tigers in Premiership Rugby. He made 110 test appearances for Scotland, making him their most-capped player. He played in three World Cups and toured with the British & Irish Lions in 2009, making one appearance.

Tangaki Taulupe "Toby" Faletau is a Welsh professional rugby union player for Cardiff Rugby in the United Rugby Championship and has represented the Wales national team for over 10 years. The back row forward played for Cross Keys RFC, Newport RFC and Newport Gwent Dragons in Wales before joining Bath in England in 2016. He joined present club Cardiff in 2022.
Howe of Fife RFC is a rugby union club based in Cupar, Fife, Scotland. It was founded in 1921, and they play in blue and white hoops. The men's first XV team currently competes in Scottish National League Division Three, the women's XV - known as Howe Harlequins - plays in Scottish Womens National One.
David Kipling Denton is a retired Zimbabwean-born Scottish rugby union player. He played in the back row, but could also play in the second row, and represented Edinburgh in the Pro12, Bath, Worcester Warriors and Leicester Tigers in England, and Scotland internationally.
Stuart Hogg is a Scottish rugby union player who plays for Exeter Chiefs in the English Premiership and used to captain the Scottish national team. His playing positions are fullback and fly-half.
Blair Simon Kinghorn is a Scottish professional rugby union footballer who plays as a utility back for Edinburgh Rugby in the United Rugby Championship and the Scotland national team. Although he primarily plays as a fullback, he can also play as a wing and at fly-half.
Chloe Rollie is a Scottish international rugby union footballer who currently plays as a full-back for Exeter Chiefs Women in the Premier 15s, as well as the Scottish national team.
Glen Young is a Scotland international rugby union player. He currently plays for Edinburgh Rugby.
