Fauve Hautot (born 3 March 1986) is a French dancer and choreographer.

Early life

Fauve Hautot was born in Dieppe. Her father was an accountant with a passion for dance, and her mother was a dance teacher. She has a younger sister, Calliope, and an older brother, Ashley. [1] She grew up in the village of Saint-Vaast-Dieppedalle (Seine-Maritime). Her name means "wildcat" or "big cat" in French. Her parents chose the name Fauve "after seeing the series Mistral's Daughter, in which a heroine is named Fauve". [2]

As the age of 5, she began dancing Latin dances with her brother. [2]

Career

In 2001, she was crowned junior French champion for Latin dances, runner-up in standards, and 3rd in 10 dances with Nicolas Pouget.[ citation needed ] Her 2006 victory of the TV show "Dancing Show" (which airs on France 2), alongside Maxime Dereymez (another professional dancer on Danse avec les Stars), [2] brought her into the public eye.

Danse avec les stars is the French version of British TV show Strictly Come Dancing, first broadcast on TF1 on 12 February 2011, the participants having been selected in November 2010. The first series finale took place on 19 March 2011. A second series was broadcast between 8 October – 19 November 2011. Since then TF1 has chosen to broadcast the program once a year, in the autumn. The show has tentatively scheduled its thirteenth series to begin in 2024.

The sixth season of the French version of Dancing with the Stars premiered on TF1 on October 24, 2015, a little over a year after the fifth season. This time, 10 celebrities are paired with 10 professional ballroom dancers, less than the 11 of the previous season. Vincent Cerutti will not return as the main host for the season, being replaced by Sandrine Quétier, while Quétier's previous spot will be taken over by Season 4 contestant Laurent Ournac. Meanwhile, Fauve Hautot, one of the program's most popular dancers, was promoted to the position of judge, due to Season 5 judge M. Pokora being too busy with his concert tour.

Co-host Laurent Ournac did not return to the show after two seasons and was replaced by different celebrities from TF1 invited to host that week: Arthur, Jean-Luc Reichmann, Christophe Beaugrand, Karine Ferri, Christophe Dechavanne, Nikos Aliagas, Laurence Boccolini, Denis Brogniart, Jean-Pierre Foucault, Carole Rousseau. Marie-Claude Pietragalla did not return to the panel after five seasons and was replaced by Nico Archambault. The returning judges were Jean-Marc Généreux, Chris Marques and Fauve Hautot.

The ninth season of the French version of Dancing with the Stars started in October 2018 on TF1. It was hosted by Camille Combal and Karine Ferri. Nico Archambault did not reprise his role as judge and was replaced by Patrick Dupond. Fauve Hautot also left the panel of the judges to return as a dancer and was replaced by the winner of Danse avec les stars, Shy'm. Jean-Marc Généreux and Chris Marques both returned as judges.
