Fennagh, local name Fenagh (Irish : Fionnmhach) [1] is a village, civil parish and townland in County Carlow, Ireland. It lies on the R724 regional road between Bagenalstown (Muine Bheag) and Myshall.

Fenagh village contains two public houses, The Hunter's Rest or "Joe's" and Kearney's, two shops, The Black Cat and Kearney's, a church, a community hall, and a creche.[ citation needed ]

Sport

The local Gaelic football club, Fenagh GAA (Fiodhnach CLG in Irish) has teams from under 8s up to Senior level. The club, nicknamed the "Moll Bennetts", [2] has won three Carlow Intermediate Football Championships and plays at J.J. Hogan Memorial Park. [3]

F.C. Carlow was an Irish association football club based in County Carlow. Between 2009 and 2011 the club played in the A Championship. They also fielded teams in the League of Ireland U20/U19 Division. They were the first and to date so far, the only association football club from County Carlow to play in a senior national level league. During this time, the club also competed in the FAI Cup, the League of Ireland Cup and the Leinster Senior Cup.

The 2016 Carlow Senior Football Championship is the 116th edition of the Carlow GAA's premier club gaelic football tournament for senior graded clubs in County Carlow, Ireland. The tournament consists of 8 teams, with the winner going on to represent Carlow in the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship. The championship starts with a group stage and then progresses to a knock out stage.
