Football Manager 2024 (officially abbreviated as FM24) is a football management simulation video game developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. It is part of its Football Manager series. It was released on November 6, 2023. [1]

For the first time in the series, players can transfer their save files over from the previous game. Therefore, plays can transfer their save files from Football Manager 2023 and continue playing them in 2024. This feature will also continue in future games, allowing 2024 save files to be played in Football Manager 2025. Those using this feature will be unable to unlock Achievements, however. [2] [3]

FM24 was significant for two debuts in the Football Manager series. It was the first title in studio history to be released in Japan [4] and also included the fully-licensed J1, J2 and J3 Leagues from Japan. [5] The Mobile version of the game, FM24 Mobile, was launched as a Netflix exclusive. [6]

Awards & Accolades

In February 2024, Football Manager 2024 officially became the most-played edition in the game's history, hitting the milestone of seven million players inside 100 days. [7]

On March 7th 2024, Football Manager 2024 was named Best UK PC game at the 2024 Ukie Video Game Awards. [8] On the same day, FM24 was shortlisted for Best British Game at the 2024 BAFTA Games Awards. [9]

In May 2024, FM24 Mobile was shortlisted for Best Mobile Game at the Develop:Star Awards [10] .

Sports Interactive Limited is a British video game developer based in London, best known for the Football Manager series. Founded by brothers Oliver and Paul Collyer in July 1994, the studio was acquired by Japanese video game publisher Sega in 2006 and became part of Sega Europe. In addition to its work on Football Manager, the studio has also created a number of other sports-management simulations, including NHL Eastside Hockey Manager and Championship Manager Quiz, and is the former developer of Championship Manager.

Football Manager is a series of football management simulation video games developed by British developer Sports Interactive and published by Sega. The game began its life in 1992 as Championship Manager. However, following the break-up of their partnership with original publishers Eidos Interactive, triggered by the "fiasco" release of CM4 in 2003, Sports Interactive lost the naming rights to Eidos Interactive, but retained the game engine and data and re-branded the game Football Manager with their new publisher Sega.

Football Manager 2023 Console, titled Xbox Edition in Football Manager 2022, is to be available on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, making its debut on the latter; Football Manager 2023 Mobile is available on both Android and iOS devices; and Football Manager 2023 Touch was released on both the Nintendo Switch and Apple Arcade.
