Freedom Child is the fifth studio album by Irish rock band The Script. It was released via Columbia Records [2] and Sony Music on 1 September 2017. [3] [4] [5]
Speaking about how pop music has turned out since The Script went on a hiatus after their last album No Sound Without Silence , Danny O’Donoghue said "If you take a listen to radio now, there aren’t too many bands - guitar, bass, drums, vocals. Everyone has some kind of production element." The album was announced as members of the band took time out with their families in Ireland after four studio albums since 2008. [3]
"Rain" was released as the first single from the album and their first new song since 2014. [3] [6] [7] [8]
Explaining how the album title was decided, O'Donoghue said "It came from Mark's side... His seven-year-old came up to him one day and asked, 'Dad, what's terrorism?'" The album title was inspired by its song of the same name, which addresses terrorism and the need for harmony. [9] He also mentioned how the album covers many topics. [10]
"Divided States of America", a song on the album was explained by O’Donoghue, who said "We were in America when Trump's inauguration was happening, and you couldn’t walk down the street without seeing how divided America was. The guy selling cigarettes could be a Democrat and the guy he's selling them to could be a Trump supporter." [11] [12]

Matt Collar of AllMusic gave the album a positive review, stating that the album "is a vibrant, immediately engaging effort that finds them nicely balancing their various influences, from slick dance-pop to kinetic R&B and thoughtful, crowd-pleasing anthems." Eleanor of Live Arena also gave the album a positive review but with no score, stating that "the group's confident new sound, that strays away from the rock feel we're used to, strikes listeners with positivity and strength. It's worth a listen." [18]
The album has had several negative reviews, including from Lauren Murphy of The Irish Times , who stated that "it's too long, but more importantly, it's emotionally hollow." [14] Rick Pearson of London Evening Standard also gave the album a negative review, and said that "Truly, the road to musical hell is paved with good intentions." [16] Stephen White of The Last Mixed Tape gave the album a score of 2 out of 10, calling the album "an advert that will top the charts". [19]

Forgiven, Not Forgotten is the debut studio album by Irish pop rock group the Corrs. It was released by Atlantic Records on 26 September 1995 across the world. The album was primarily produced by David Foster, with additional production by Jim Corr. In January 1997, a special tour edition of the album was released in Australia and New Zealand and featured a bonus disc containing live and rare tracks which were recorded from their Forgiven, Not Forgotten World Tour.
Talk on Corners is the second studio album by Irish pop rock band The Corrs. It was released on 17 October 1997 by 143, Lava and Atlantic Records. Preceded by lead single "Only When I Sleep", which became a top ten hit internationally, the album was an immediate commercial success in several territories, including Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Its commercial performance elsewhere was initially modest, however.
In Blue is the third studio album by Irish pop rock band the Corrs, released in 2000 which saw the band become known in the United States. The title of the album comes from a lyric in the song "Give Me a Reason". As well as the UK number one single "Breathless", the album also contains new versions of "Radio" and "At Your Side", which had appeared on their previous album The Corrs Unplugged. Mutt Lange co-wrote and produced three songs from the album.

Best of The Corrs is a compilation album by the Irish pop rock band the Corrs, released in Ireland on 19 October 2001. The album consisted of the band's best-selling singles since their first chart appearance in 1995 with "Runaway", up to the Robert John "Mutt" Lange remix of their 2001 single "All the Love in the World", which charted at number twenty-four on the US Adult Contemporary chart. The Corrs Unplugged is the third album by Irish band The Corrs, filmed and released in the fall of 1999. The album is part of the iconic MTV Unplugged series, which features musicians performing in a more acoustic, “stripped-down” concert setting. Initially, the album was released internationally, albeit not in the United States until a year later, after the band had experienced further success with their single “Breathless” and their fourth album In Blue, with both releases earning them their highest chart positions to-date in the US.

Science & Faith is the second studio album by Irish rock band The Script. It was first released in Ireland on 10 September 2010 and on January 18, 2011 in the United States, via RCA Records. It was preceded by the lead single, "For the First Time", on 3 September 2010. It debuted at number one in Ireland and United Kingdom, selling 70,816 copies in its first week in the United Kingdom. In the United States, Science & Faith debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, their highest peak on the US chart, with first-week sales of 49,000 copies. The album has sold 314,000 copies in the US, and over 1.5 million worldwide. The album was met with mixed to positive reviews.

Jupiter Calling is the seventh studio album by the Corrs, released on 10 November 2017 by East West Records. It is their first new material in two years, following White Light (2015). It was produced by T Bone Burnett, and recorded at RAK Studios in London. It was promoted by a show at the Royal Albert Hall on 19 October, for which tickets were made available on 15 September.
Tales from the Backseat is the debut studio album by Irish indie rock band The Academic, released on 12 January 2018 by Room 6 Records. It debuted at number 1 on the Irish Albums Chart and received generally favourable critical reception, with the album being nominated for Irish Record of the Year by RTE.
Sunsets & Full Moons is the sixth studio album by Irish rock band The Script, released 8 November 2019 through Sony Music Entertainment. It is supported by the lead single "The Last Time". The Script embarked on a European tour in 2020 in promotion of the album, with Becky Hill acting as a support act. It was the last studio album to feature guitarist Mark Sheehan before his death in 2023.
Tales from the Script: Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits album by Irish pop rock band The Script. It was released on 1 October 2021 through Phonogenic Records and Sony Music Entertainment. The album includes singles from all six of the band's preceding studio albums, as well as a brand new song, and a song from their 2018 Acoustic Sessions EP. It was preceded by the single "I Want It All", and was supported by a worldwide tour which took place throughout 2022 and spanned North America, Europe and Australia.
