There is a small community of French people in Japan, consisting largely of expatriate professionals from France and their families.[ citation needed ]
The French community in Japan has been steadily increasing, rising by more than 35% in the last decade. [3] French expatriates who are working in Japan with leading foreign companies came from many different industries such as chemicals and crystal-ware. [4] As far as inbound tourism from France is concerned, France ranked at 15th place in 2018, with 304,900 French tourists visiting Japan. [5]

Kawaguchi is a city located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 January 2021, the city had an estimated population of 607,373 in 293,582 households and a population density of 9800 persons per km². The total area of the city is 61.95 square kilometres (23.92 sq mi). It is the Greater Tokyo Area's 8th most populated city, and second largest in Saitama Prefecture, after eponymous Saitama.
An AV idol or AV actress is a type of pornographic film actress in Japan. It is a sub-category of the idol culture in Japanese pop entertainment. AV idols work in the pornographic business, often both as an actress as well as a model as the video performances vary widely, from suggestive softcore imagery to hardcore pornography. The industry is noted for having frequent turnovers; since the dawn of the AV industry in the early 1980s, hundreds of AV idols have debuted every year, with an average career span of about a year, appearing in five or ten videos during that time. Some successful AV idols move into daytime television or other fields after their careers have waned, while the reverse can happen as well where actresses move into pornographic videos if their normal work has dried up.

Chinese people in Japan (在日中国人/華人) include any people self-identifying as ethnic Chinese or people possessing Chinese citizenship living in Japan. People aged 22 or older cannot possess dual-citizenship in Japan, so Chinese possessing Japanese citizenship typically no longer possess Chinese citizenship. The term "Chinese people" typically refers to the Han Chinese, the main ethnic group living in China (PRC), Taiwan (ROC) and Singapore. Han Chinese people have had a long history in Japan as a minority.

In 2006, Japanese/Filipino marriages were the most frequent of all international marriages in Japan. As of 2016, the Filipino population in Japan was 237,103 according to the Ministry of Justice. Filipinos in Japan formed a population of 325,000 individuals at year-end 2020, making them Japan's third-largest foreign community along with Vietnamese, according to the statistics of the Philippine Global National Inquirer and the Ministry of Justice. In December 2021, the number of Filipinos in Japan was estimated at 276,615.
Turks in Japan are Turks living in Japan. Historically, the term has included Turkic émigrés and immigrants from former Russian Empire, most of whom later acquired Turkish citizenship.
Iranians in Japan are a minority group, with official statistics recording about 5,000 Iranian migrants in the country. Part of the Iranian diaspora, most live in the Greater Tokyo Area.
Vietnamese people in Japan form Japan's second-largest community of foreign residents ahead of Koreans in Japan and behind Chinese in Japan, according to the statistics of the Ministry of Justice. By in December 2023, there were 565,026 residents. The majority of the Vietnamese legal residents live in the Kantō region and Keihanshin area.
Americans in Japan are citizens of the United States residing in Japan. As of December 2023, there were 63,408 American citizens registered as foreign residents of Japan, forming 2.0% of the total population of registered aliens, according to statistics from Japan's Ministry of Justice. This made Americans the ninth-largest group of foreign residents in Japan, having been surpassed in number by Vietnamese residents, Nepalese residents, Indonesian residents, and Burmese residents since 2011.
Bangladeshis in Japan form one of the smaller populations of foreigners in Japan. As of in December 2023, Japan's Ministry of Justice recorded 27,962 Bangladeshi nationals among the total population of registered foreigners in Japan.

Nigerians in Japan form a significant immigrant community. There are around 3,700 Nigerians living in the country. They mostly belong to the Nigerian Union in Japan, which is divided into sub-unions based on states of origin. The vast majority of Nigerians arrived in Japan from the mid-1980s onwards.
Momona Kitō, known professionally as Yua Mikami, is a Japanese singer, YouTuber, and former pornographic film actress. She debuted as a member of the idol group SKE48 in 2009 before leaving in 2014. She entered the adult entertainment industry in 2015 under the Muteki label and became one of the most popular and best-selling contemporary AV idols, winning several awards in the process. Mikami performed under the S1 No. 1 Style label and has appeared in over 200 adult films.
