Marcus Dion Camby is an American former professional basketball player who played 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was named Defensive Player of the Year during the 2006–07 NBA season, leading the league in blocked shots per game. Camby is also a four-time member of the NBA All-Defensive Team and is 12th on the NBA's all-time career blocks list.
Sharif Karim Fajardo Blanding is a Puerto Rican former professional basketball player. Fajardo has played in the CBA, NCAA, and the National Superior Basketball League of Puerto Rico (BSN) with Santurce Crabbers, Quebradillas Pirates and the San Germán Athletics. Fajardo has played internationally in France, Italy, and Greece. Fajardo participated in the 2005 Pre-Season Training Camp of the Toronto Raptors of the NBA. Fajardo was a member of the Puerto Rican National Basketball Team, most notably the 2004 Puerto Rican National Basketball Team that defeated the United States at the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece.
Kevin Alvin Willis is an American former professional basketball player mostly known for playing with the Atlanta Hawks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was a 7-foot power forward/center. Excluding players not yet eligible, he holds the record for most games played among those not in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Nickey Maxwell Van Exel is an American professional basketball coach and former player who last served as an assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Van Exel played for six NBA teams from 1993 through 2006. He was an NBA All-Star with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1998.
Raef Andrew LaFrentz is an American former professional basketball power forward and center who played for the Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, and Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born and raised in Iowa, LaFrentz attended the University of Kansas and was drafted in 1998 by the Denver Nuggets. He was known for his perimeter shooting and his shot blocking abilities. In 2019–20 LaFrentz became an assistant basketball coach at Decorah High School in Decorah, Iowa.
Robert John Pack Jr. is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He last coached the Rwandan club REG of the Basketball Africa League A 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) point guard, he played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Tracy is also a part-time analyst on the Slam Dunk Show on ABC7 Los Angeles. He worked as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the 2015–16 NBA season.
Mark A. Jackson is an American former professional basketball player who was a point guard in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the St. John's Red Storm and was selected by the New York Knicks in the first round of the 1987 NBA draft with the 18th overall pick. He played in the NBA for the Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, and Houston Rockets in a career spanning from 1987 to 2004.

Artis Wayne Cooper was an American professional basketball player who played fourteen seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "Coop", he played for the Golden State Warriors, Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, and Denver Nuggets from 1978 to 1992. He was the Denver Nuggets’ all-time leader in blocks when he left the franchise in 1989. After his playing career ended, he worked as an executive with the Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings.
The 1998–99 NBA season was the Raptors' fourth season in the National Basketball Association. On March 23, 1998, the owners of all 29 NBA teams voted 27–2 to reopen the league's collective bargaining agreement, seeking changes to the league's salary cap system, and a ceiling on individual player salaries. The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) opposed to the owners' plan, and wanted raises for players who earned the league's minimum salary. After both sides failed to reach an agreement, the owners called for a lockout, which began on July 1, 1998, putting a hold on all team trades, free agent signings and training camp workouts, and cancelling many NBA regular season and preseason games. Due to the lockout, the NBA All-Star Game, which was scheduled to be played in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 14, 1999, was also cancelled. However, on January 6, 1999, NBA commissioner David Stern, and NBPA director Billy Hunter finally reached an agreement to end the lockout. The deal was approved by both the players and owners, and was signed on January 20, ending the lockout after 204 days. The regular season began on February 5, and was cut short to just 50 games instead of the regular 82-game schedule.
The 2000–01 NBA season was the Raptors' sixth season in the National Basketball Association. This was the Raptors' first season without Butch Carter, Tracy McGrady, Doug Christie, and Dee Brown. During the 2000 off-season, the Raptors acquired Corliss Williamson from the Sacramento Kings, and signed free agent Mark Jackson. Basketball Hall of Fame member Lenny Wilkens became the fourth head coach in the team's franchise history. The Raptors lost their first three games, but played above .500 as the season progressed holding a 26–23 record at the All-Star break. At midseason, Williamson was traded to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Jerome Williams and Eric Montross, while Jackson was traded along with Muggsy Bogues back to his former team, the New York Knicks in exchange for Chris Childs, and Kevin Willis was dealt to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Keon Clark and Tracy Murray in two other separate midseason trades. The Raptors won 11 of their final 14 games, finishing second in the Central Division with a 47–35 record.
The 2003–04 Syracuse Orangemen men's basketball team represented Syracuse University in NCAA men's basketball competition in the 2003–04 Division I season. The head coach was Jim Boeheim, serving for his 28th year. The team played its home games at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York. The team finished with a 23–8 (11–5) record, while making it to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA tournament. The team was led by junior Hakim Warrick and sophomore Gerry McNamara. Senior Jeremy McNeil, juniors Craig Forth and Josh Pace and sophomore Billy Edelin were also major contributors.

The 2000–01 NBA season was the Nuggets' 25th season in the National Basketball Association, and 34th season as a franchise. During the off-season, the Nuggets acquired Calbert Cheaney and former Nuggets guard Robert Pack from the Boston Celtics, and acquired Voshon Lenard from the Miami Heat, acquired Tracy Murray from the Washington Wizards, and re-signed free agent and former Nuggets guard Anthony Goldwire. However, Cheaney only played just nine games due to a strained left hamstring, and Tariq Abdul-Wahad only played just 29 games due to weight problems. At midseason, the Nuggets traded Murray along with Keon Clark to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Kevin Willis.
The 2001–02 NBA season was the Nuggets' 26th season in the National Basketball Association, and 35th season as a franchise. During the off-season, the Nuggets signed free agents Isaiah Rider and Avery Johnson. However, Rider would play in just ten games before being waived on November 20. After finishing just two games below .500 the previous season, the Nuggets suffered another disastrous setback as Antonio McDyess suffered a preseason knee injury, which limited him to just ten games. The Nuggets got off to a 6–5 start, but then lost nine of their next ten games.
