Getting Doug With High is a video and audio podcast hosted by American stand-up comedian and actor Doug Benson. [1] [2]

Contents

Guests are interviewed while smoking marijuana alongside Benson. [3] [4] Each episode features different strains of sativa and indica, and showcases a series of smoking implements of unusual design, often including pipes designed by Chameleon Glass.[ citation needed ]

The show features several recurring segments:

In 2016, Benson hosted an uninterrupted four hour and twenty minute version of the show at a festival hosted by Jash in Palm Springs, California. The show has also hosted live versions of the show, with several guests, in front of an audience in a theater. [6]

During the show that aired December 27, 2019, Benson noted that the show would be on hiatus.

As a comedian, he has released 10 comedy albums, starting with Professional Humoredian in 2008, and has regularly appeared on TV shows including Comedy Central Presents, Best Week Ever and @midnight. Ngaio Bealum is an American comedian, musician, writer, actor, activist, juggler and publisher. He co-hosted Cannabis Planet and published West Coast Cannabis Magazine. Bealum hosted a podcast on Cannabis Radio. The podcast was formatted as a travelogue, covering live cannabis events with a discussion on current cannabis topics and trends. Bealum was a contributor for the Sacramento News & Review, writing the Ask420 column on marijuana and its politics, as well as a host on the cannabis trivia app Daily Bonfire.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2016 Florida Amendment 2</span> Ballot measure in Florida legalizing medical marijuana

The Florida Medical Marijuana Legalization Initiative, also known as Amendment 2, was approved by voters in the Tuesday, November 8, 2016, general election in the State of Florida. The bill required a super-majority vote to pass, with at least 60% of voters voting for support of a state constitutional amendment. Florida already had a medical marijuana law in place, but only for those who are terminally ill and with less than a year left to live. The goal of Amendment 2 is to alleviate those suffering from these medical conditions: cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, positive status for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Crohn's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, chronic nonmalignant pain caused by a qualifying medical condition or that originates from a qualified medical condition or other debilitating medical conditions comparable to those listed. Under Amendment 2, the medical marijuana will be given to the patient if the physician believes that the medical use of marijuana would likely outweigh the potential health risks for a patient. Smoking the medication was not allowed under a statute passed by the Florida State Legislature, however this ban was struck down by Leon County Circuit Court Judge Karen Gievers on May 25, 2018.

Disjointed is an American television sitcom created by David Javerbaum and Chuck Lorre and starring Kathy Bates. Twenty episodes of the series were ordered from Warner Bros. by Netflix, with the first 10 episodes premiering on August 25, 2017. The last 10 episodes were released on January 12, 2018. On February 14, 2018, Netflix canceled the series.

The High Court with Doug Benson was an American comedy and arbitration-based reality court show presided over by comedian Doug Benson. The High Court with Doug Benson premiered on Comedy Central on February 28, 2017. In each episode Benson judged real cases while under the influence of cannabis. This court show also marked the return of Viacom to the court show genre.

Catherine Hiller is an American author and filmmaker, best known for writing Just Say Yes: A Marijuana Memoir. The first memoir about long-term cannabis use designed for a mainstream audience, Just Say Yes attracted national attention, being featured in The New York Times, Huffington Post, and Marie Claire magazine among other media outlets. In 2015, Hiller publicly "came out" as a cannabis user, saying that she has smoked marijuana almost every day for fifty years.
