Gouden Ganzenveer

The Gouden Ganzenveer ("Golden goose quill") is a Dutch cultural award initiated in 1955, given annually to a person or organization of great significance to the written and printed word. Recipients are selected by an academy of people from the cultural, political, scientific, and corporate world. Members meet once a year; the winner is announced each year in January and honored in April. [1] From 1995 to 1998 the award was granted by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Uitgeversbond, the Royal Dutch Organization of Publishers; since 2000, it is granted by a separate organization. [2]

The Golden Film is a film award recognizing domestic box office achievements in the Netherlands. The Golden Film is awarded to films from the Netherlands once they have sold 100,000 tickets. The award is an initiative by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund to increase media attention for Dutch films. For each awarded film there is one trophy for the film crew and another for the film cast.

Vereniging tot Behoud van Natuurmonumenten in Nederland, also known as Vereniging Natuurmonumenten, is a Dutch nature conservation organization founded in 1905 by Jacobus Pieter Thijsse and Eli Heimans, that buys, protects, and manages nature reserves in the Netherlands. It is a member of the European Environmental Bureau.

Annejet van der Zijl Dutch writer and historian (born 1962)

Annejet van der Zijl is a Dutch writer and historian. Born in 1962, she studied mass communication at the UVA in Amsterdam and earned an MA International Journalism at City University in London. She worked in magazine journalism until 2000 while writing her first book Jagtlust, about a ramshackle villa that was a meeting place for many artists and poets in the 1960s. Annejet van der Zijl lives in Amsterdam with her husband, a journalist.

The Golden Book-Owl is a Belgian prize for original Dutch language literature. Originally it was named Golden Owl. It has been awarded annually since 1995.

Peter van Straaten Dutch cartoonist and comics artist

Peter van Straaten was a Dutch cartoonist and comics artist. He is best known for his political cartoons as well as his satirical observations of everyday people. He also had a newspaper comic strip Vader & Zoon, which ran in Het Parool for almost two decades.

Royal Academy of Dutch Language and Literature

The Royal Academy for Dutch Language and Literature is an institution focused on the study and promotion of the Dutch language in Flanders. It is the Dutch-speaking counterpart of the Académie royale de langue et de littérature françaises de Belgique and one of Belgium's numerous academies.

Gouden Ezelsoor was an award for the best-selling literary debut in the Netherlands. It was first awarded in 1979 and last awarded in 2008.
