Hossein Sadri is an Iranian Azerbaijani scholar and activist. He is currently working as the director of MArch at Coventry University. [1] Between 2010 and 2021, he worked as a professor of architecture and urban design at Girne American University where he held the position of the dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Design & Fine Arts between 2012-2016. [2] He held also academic teaching and research positions at Islamic Azad University of Tabriz in IRAN (2003-2005), National Academy of Sciences in AZERBAIJAN (2006), The American University in Canterbury - UK (2011), and The City University of New York in the USA (2018). He studied undergraduate and graduate courses in the departments of Architecture, Philosophy, and Environmental Sciences and Policy at Islamic Azad University of Tabriz in IRAN (1997-2005), Gazi University (2006-2010), Hacettepe University (2007), and Yildiz Technical University (2007) in TURKEY, and Central European University in HUNGARY (2007 & 2008). [3] [4] His Ph.D. dissertation entitled Architecture and Human Rights was an interdisciplinary studies on the spatiality of human rights. [5] He was one of the founding members of AUMME (Architecture and Urbanism in the Mediterranean and the Middle East), [6] the regional academic and professional network in the field of architecture and the chair of its 2nd conference in 2014. [7] As the chair of the second CAUMME-Contemporary Architecture and Urbanism in the Mediterranean and the Middle-East International Conference, he opened up discussions regarding the end of the era of professionalism in architecture by introducing the term “Post-Professionalism”. [8] He co-edited Cities without Capitalism, foreword by Peter Marcuse and published by Routledge in 2022. [9]

As a human rights activist, he is a member of Amnesty International and since 2006 he worked respectively as Ankara Coordinator, National Coordinator of Urgent Action in Turkey, National Coordinator of Counter Terror with Justice Campaign, Coordinator of Istanbul, EU Contact Person of Amnesty International Turkey, Member of International Relations Group and National Coordinator of Human Rights Education in Turkey. He is an endurance runner and runs Marathons to fundraise for human rights causes. [11]

Miriam Estrada Castillo is a lawyer, and was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She is the daughter of Pablo Estrada Valle, one of the founders of CFP, which was one of the most important political parties of Ecuador in the fifties. She graduated from the American School of Guayaquil with honours and studied Law in the Faculty of Law and Social and Political Sciences of the University of Guayaquil, Ecuador, getting her academic degrees as a Doctor in Jurisprudence and a Bachelor in Social and Political Sciences as a Valedictorian. Her PhD thesis: "Revolution, Art, and Human Rights" was considered a contribution for the legal culture of Ecuador, receiving the honour of being published by the University of Guayaquil. She was awarded, amongst 1200 other graduates, with the "University of Guayaquil" Award, for obtaining the highest scores during her student life and for the contributions she made as an academic. She was married to the founder of the Choral Movement of Ecuador, Maestro Enrique Gil Calderon, with whom she had her three children, Abogado Alfredo Antonio Gil Estrada, Maestro Fernando Gil Estrada and Magister and International Consultant, Alba Gil Estrada.

Feride Acar is a Turkish international expert on women and gender. She was the founding chair of the Middle East Technical University's gender and women's studies program. Between 2003 and 2005 served as chair of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and served three consecutive terms as president of the Council of Europe's Group of Experts of Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO). Site Mosque is a mosque located in Ilkadim district of Samsun. The mosque is a prominent architectural landmark in the city center due to both its location and unique architectural style. It was built between 1976 and 1985 as part of a redevelopment of the city center. Plans were announced in 2022 to demolish the mosque as part of an urban renewal campaign of Samsun's City Center.

Ahmet Tahtakılıç (1909–2000) was a Turkish lawyer and politician. He served as a member of the Parliament, senator and held various cabinet posts in the early 1960s. He started his political career in the Democrat Party (DP) in 1946. After being part of right-wing political parties he became a member of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in 1973. He was among the founders of Human Rights Association which was established in 1986.
