The Inforum is a convention center located in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. It is the site of the annual ExpoFresas, which is held every December.
The Inforum was refurbished with works completed in January 2023. With an investment of 150 million pesos, the venue was prepared to be part of the wider tourism and industrial development initiative, promoted by Guanajuato Governor Diego Sinhue, who attended the re-opening ceremony. [1]
The twin pavilions of the Inforum each have 45,565 square feet (4,233.1 m2) of exhibit space and have a height of 39.37 feet (12.00 m) of space. Each has a 3,122.6-square-foot (290.10 m2) lobby. Each can accommodate up to 6,000 people for concerts, sporting events, conventions and trade shows. Both pavilions are connected by an outdoor multifunctional plaza with 645,835 square feet (60,000 square meters) of space. Pavilion 1 contains a mezzanine level [2] and is the pavilion most often used for major events such as the aforementioned.
Several artists and bands from different genres have performed in the Inforum. The Inforum is the venue for the annual Irapuato Jazz Festival, which includes music and talks. In April 2023 the Brazilian heavy metal band Sepultura announced a show. [3] Concerts and events take place in two facilities within the Inforum:
The Centro de Espectaculos is an indoor arena used for concerts, sporting events, and other special events. It was built as a Palenque with its center-stage measuring 71.78 square meters (772.5 square feet) Its concert capacity is up to 6,000 with 1,953 in chairback seats, five in handicapped seating, and the rest in benches. [4] A design for the Centro de Espectaculos was done by Mexican Architect Tatiana Bilbao in 2009, but not built. [5]
The Foro Abierto is a 3,000-seat [6] amphitheater which opened in 2013 and is used primarily for concerts and stage shows.
The Inforum is the home of the basketball team Freseros de Irapuato, who participate in Mexico's National Basketball League. [7] It has also been the venue of box fights such as the TKO victory of Isaac Cruz over Ricardo Juan Saenz in 2017.
It set to host matches for the 2024 FIBA Under-17 Women's Basketball World Cup.
Guanajuato is a municipality in central Mexico and the capital of the state of the same name. It is part of the macroregion of the Bajío. It is operated by Grupo CIE. The palace is named after Mexican military official Juan Escutia, although it is rarely referred to in its full name.
Estadio Morelos is a football stadium located along Periférico Independencia, in the Independencia sector, near the base of Cerro del Quinceo in northwest Morelia, Michoacán, México. It is the site of professional football teams, it currently is the site of Atlético Morelia in the Liga de Expansión MX, Mexico's second division. It used to host Monarcas Morelia in the top division of Mexican football and Monarcas Primera A in the league under that. This structure holds various events, such as concerts, religious gatherings, and mass. Its official name Estadio José María Morelos y Pavón honors a hero of the Mexican War of Independence.
Fargodome is an indoor athletic stadium in the north central United States, located on the campus of North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo, North Dakota. Opened 32 years ago in late 1992, the facility is owned by the City of Fargo and built on university land. Not an actual dome, its seating capacity is 18,700 for football and over 25,000 for full arena concerts. Its approximate elevation at street level is 900 feet (275 m) above sea level.
The Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center is a convention center located in Long Beach, California. Built on the former site of the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium, the venue is composed of the Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach Arena, and the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. The Leonard E. Merrell Center is a 7,200-seat multi-purpose arena in Katy, Texas. It was built in 2005 and was the former home of the Katy Copperheads and the Katy Ruff Riders of the Intense Football League. The Merrell Center has hosted the Southland Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments from 2008 to 2022, but both tournaments will move to The Legacy Center on the campus of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 2023. Romita is a Mexican city located in the Southwest region of the state of Guanajuato. The municipality has an area of 442.10 square kilometres and is bordered to the north by León, to the east by Silao, to the southwest by Abasolo and Cuerámaro, and to the west by Manuel Doblado and San Francisco del Rincón. The municipality had a population of 105,825 inhabitants according to the 2005 census.
Irapuato is a Mexican city and municipality located at the foot of the Arandas Hill, in the central region of the state of Guanajuato. The Bilbao Exhibition Centre is an exhibition centre in Barakaldo, Basque Country, Spain. The current headquarters of the Feria de Muestras de Bilbao, its facilities are located on land formerly occupied by the Basque iron company Altos Hornos de Vizcaya in the neighbourhood of Ansio in Barakaldo, in the Greater Bilbao area. These facilities, opened in April 2004, allow for high capacity international fairs with better services, infrastructure, and connections than the previous facilities in central Bilbao.
Domo de la Feria is a 4,463-seat indoor arena located in Leon, Guanajuato. Built in the mid-1980s, it is used primarily for basketball, and is home to the Abejas de León basketball team. It is part of the municipal fairgrounds, and is one of the primary venues of the annual Feria Leon. It can seat up to 7,000 for concerts. It is also used for circuses, lucha libre, motorsports, boxing, graduations, ice shows and other events. A 4,500-seat Palenque, dedicated in 2010, is adjacent to the arena.

The Freseros compete in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP), the top professional basketball league in Mexico, as a member of the league's West Division. The team plays its home games at the Inforum, with a capacity of 3,000 spectators.
