The Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) is the first and only book news agency in Iran. [1] [2]

History

Iran Book News Agency was established in 2006 in order to report on news about published books. The activities in IBNA are supervised by the Iran Book House. In addition to publishing news, IBNA offers updated reports, interviews and analyses of various foundations and organizations working in different publication fields. [3]

Faryad Shiri is a contemporary Iranian Kurdish poet, critic, writer and translator. He works on Kurdish and Persian literature. Faryad was born in Sahneh in 1971. He has published more than twenty works consisting of his poems, translations and stories. He also has received several awards such as Iran poetry prize (2002).

Ahmad Motevaselian an Iranian military attaché, was one of four Iranians who disappeared in Lebanon in 1982. During the Iran–Iraq War, he was a commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and established the 27th Muhammad Rasool-Allah Division of Tehran. He played a role in the Liberation of Khorramshahr and later, as part of a senior diplomatic group of political and military leaders, went to Syria. On 5 July 1982, when the vehicle carrying the diplomats was passing through a checkpoint post on its way to Beirut, it was intercepted by Phalange Party. The car and four passengers, completely disappeared.

Lessons with Kiarostami is a book written by Abbas Kiarostami, edited by Paul Cronin and with a foreword by acclaimed British director Mike Leigh. The book was published, simultaneously in English and Persian, shortly before Kiarostami's death. Drawn from Cronin's notes made at a series of workshops around the world, as led by Kiarostami, the text is written in the first person, from Kiarostami's point of view, and details his working methods and approach to poetic cinema. Lessons with Kiarostami was released alongside various volumes of English translations of Kiarostami's poetry, including In the Shadow of Trees. A Turkish translation and a Simplified Chinese translation of the book were published in 2017, and a Complex Chinese translation in 2018.
