Jake Hendriks (born 1981) is an English television actor. He is known for portraying Kieron Hobbs in the soap opera Hollyoaks and numerous stage roles.
Jake Hendriks, born Jacob Hendrik Cuddihy in 1981 in Chessington, is the eldest of three boys, with two younger brothers, Joshua and Caleb. He attended Hinchley Wood School, and then Tiffin School, Kingston-upon-Thames, a selective boys' grammar school with specialist Performing Arts College status. He graduated from Guildford School of Acting in 2004. [1] He is currently managed by Burnett Crowther associates Ltd and also works freelance as a professional story board artist
He played the part of gay Catholic priest Kieron Hobbs from 8 January until 5 September 2008. [2] [3]
In an interview with Hollyoaks website, he commented on his on-screen persona:
"He's a laid back guy and as a result he has a calming effect on the McQueens who usually have a manic household. He also seems to be always eating for some reason, nearly every scene I've filmed I've had to be eating something!”. [4]
Prior to Hollyoaks, Hendriks also had roles in Ultimate Force (Series 3, Episode 3: "Class of 1980") playing Paul Brown; in 3 episodes of Down to Earth ("Broken dreams", "Changes", "Dangerous Liaisons") playing Simon Cole and in Casualty (Series 21, Episode 26: "The Killing Floor") playing Bobby Anstiss.
Hendriks was nominated for "Best Newcomer" at the 2008 Inside Soap Awards for his role as Kieron Hobbs in Hollyoaks . He had been short-listed but did not win.

Hollyoaks is a British soap opera which originally began airing on Channel 4 on 23 October 1995. It was created by Phil Redmond, who had previously conceived the soap opera Brookside. From 2005 to 2023, episodes have aired on sister channel E4 a day prior to their broadcast on Channel 4. In 2023, it was announced that Hollyoaks had been removed from Channel 4's schedule, but would remain on E4 and Channel 4 and it would be added to YouTube.

Nancy Osborne is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Jessica Fox. The character first appeared on 6 July 2005. Since the character's inception she has been involved in many notable storylines such as a love triangle; coping with the death of her sister Becca ; marrying Jake Dean ; drug abuse; domestic violence; being the victim of two attempted rapes by Jake and Finn O'Connor ; marrying Darren Osborne ; suffering a miscarriage; prematurely giving birth to Darren's son, Oscar Osborne, who is deaf; an addiction to painkillers; a highly-publicised storyline where Sienna Blake attempts to steal Darren and her family away from her; getting brain damage after an attack from Sienna; an affair with Rick Spencer ; and a fling with Rick's son Robbie Roscoe. In the character's early stages, she was portrayed as a less conventional character compared to the rest of the Hollyoaks teenagers. Fox left the series on 23 March 2023 due to going on maternity leave, she will return in late 2023.
David John Threlfall is an English stage, film and television actor and director. He is best known for playing Frank Gallagher in Channel 4's series Shameless. He has also directed several episodes of the show. In April 2014, he portrayed comedian Tommy Cooper in a television film entitled Tommy Cooper: Not Like That, Like This. In 2014, he starred alongside Jude Law in the thriller Black Sea. In 2022, he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Play for his performance in the Martin McDonagh play Hangmen.
Gemma Bissix is an English actress. She has been acting since the age of 9. Her most prominent roles have been in soap operas, as Clare Bates in EastEnders and Clare Devine in Hollyoaks ; she was awarded with two British Soap Awards for the latter role. Away from soap opera, Bissix has appeared in various television programmes and she competed in the 2009 series of Dancing on Ice. She has appeared in various pantomimes. Bissix returned to Hollyoaks in 2013.

John Paul McQueen is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by James Sutton. The character debuted on-screen during the episode airing on 6 September 2006; his storylines have significantly revolved around his sexuality, evolving from the initial denial of his homosexuality, to the pursuit and relations with best friend Craig Dean, the storyline gained a fan-base and garnered them "supercouple status". The storylines received acclaim from LGBT rights charity Stonewall. John Paul later has a relationship with a priest, Kieron Hobbs. In 2008, Sutton quit the serial and his character received a "sunset ending" with Craig, which was promised for fans by executive producer Bryan Kirkwood.
Kris Fisher is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Gerard McCarthy. The character first appeared on-screen in September 2006 and left in August 2010 after McCarthy quit the show. He is noted for his storylines involving the PEP treatment, a bisexual love triangle, his outlandish personality and being the only permanent cross dressing character in a British soap opera. Following his departure, it was announced that McCarthy would return in November 2010 for a short stint.

Niall Rafferty is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Barry Sloane. He first appeared during an episode broadcast on 3 December 2007. Former Brookside actor Sloane was cast as the "mysterious" hairdresser Niall and was introduced by the series' producer Bryan Kirkwood. During Sloane's portrayal of Niall on-screen, he was central to a storyline involving the already-established McQueen family and it was revealed Niall was the illegitimate son of Myra McQueen. The storyline featured Niall seek revenge on the McQueens, which concluded in highly advertised episodes featuring Niall kidnapping his siblings and causing the death of his half-sister Tina Reilly. Niall was portrayed by upcoming actor Devon Jackson, the older brother of Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson, in flashback scenes depicting Niall's childhood.
Joseph Patrick Callaghan, known professionally as Ayden Callaghan, is an English actor of stage and screen. He is best known for his roles as Miles De Souza in the soap opera Emmerdale from 2007 to 2008 and as Joe Roscoe in the soap opera Hollyoaks from 2013 to 2016.
"Jack and the Beanstalk" is an English fairy tale. It appeared as "The Story of Jack Spriggins and the Enchanted Bean" in 1734 and as Benjamin Tabart's moralized "The History of Jack and the Bean-Stalk" in 1807. Henry Cole, publishing under pen name Felix Summerly, popularized the tale in The Home Treasury (1845), and Joseph Jacobs rewrote it in English Fairy Tales (1890). Hollyoaks began airing on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom on 23 October 1995. The target audience was that of teenagers and it initially dramatised the lives of seven of that age group who lived in Hollyoaks, a fictional suburb in the city of Chester in Cheshire, England.
William Price is an English actor, known for portraying the role of Sid Sumner in the Channel 4 soap opera, Hollyoaks. Kerry Bennett is a British television and theatre actress. Bennett grew up in Stockport, United Kingdom and began her career aged fourteen acting in theatre productions. She rose to prominence playing the role of Jess Cranham in the BBC medical drama Casualty and Eva Falco in the soap opera Hollyoaks.
