James Howard Edmondson was an American politician from the U.S. state of Oklahoma. He served as the 16th governor of Oklahoma from 1959 to 1963,and the appointed United States Senator from Oklahoma from 1963 to 1964,losing to Fred R. Harris in a 1964 special election for the U.S. Senate. When he took office as Governor of Oklahoma at the age of 33,Edmondson was,and still is,the youngest governor in the history of the state.

Edward Hardy Summers (1933–2012) was a justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court from 1985 to 2003. Born in Muskogee,Oklahoma,he earned degrees in government and law at the University of Oklahoma. After graduation,he enlisted in the Judge Advocate General division of the U. S. Air Force. When he was discharged,he returned to Muskogee,where he served as Assistant County Attorney,before joining a private law firm,Fite,Robinson and Summers. In 1976,Governor David Boren appointed him District Judge for the 15th Judicial District. In 1985,Governor George Nigh appointed him to the Oklahoma Supreme Court. He served as chief justice from 1999 to 2000,and retired from the court in 2004. He died in Oklahoma City on September 12,2012.
John Kevin Stitt is an American businessman and politician serving as the 28th governor of Oklahoma since 2019. A member of the Republican Party,he was elected in 2018,defeating Democrat and former state Attorney General Drew Edmondson with 54.3% of the vote. Stitt was reelected to a second term in 2022,defeating Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister,a Republican turned Democrat,with 55.4% of the vote. A member of the Cherokee Nation,Stitt is the second governor of Native descent after former Oklahoma governor Johnston Murray.
Thomas H. Owen (1873–1938) was a judge of the Oklahoma Supreme Court. He born in Arkansas,where he grew to manhood,and came to Indian Territory in 1894. According to Victor Harlow's version of Owen's biography,Owen was born near Jasper,Arkansas on February 24,1873.
E. Summers Hardy (1933–2012) was an associate justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court from 1917 to 1919. He should not be confused with the similarly named justice,Hardy T. Summers,who served on the Oklahoma Court from 1985 to 2003.
