Jermaine Mathews Jr. is an American football cornerback for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Mathews Jr. attended Winton Woods High School in Forest Park, Ohio. [1] As a senior, he had 51 tackles, six interceptions with three of them returned for a touchdown. He committed to Ohio State University to play college football. [2] [3]
Mathews Jr. earned playing time as a true freshman at Ohio State in 2023. [4] [5] [6] He was named a freshman All-American. [7]
Justin Matthew Boren is a former American football guard. Though a guard in the NFL, Boren played both guard and center during his high school and college football career. In high school, he was widely regarded as one of the top offensive linemen in the country and one of the top football prospects in the state of Ohio. He was selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and was a Parade All-American and an Associated Press All-Ohio selection. The Buckeyes finished the regular season with an undefeated record for the second consecutive year, as well as Big Ten Leaders Division champions for the second consecutive year. They finished the season with a record of 12 wins and 2 losses, following losses to Michigan State in the Big Ten Championship Game and to Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

They finished the season with 14 wins and 1 loss, as Big Ten champions and as national champions after they defeated Oregon in the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Winning 14 games in a season tied the school record set by the Buckeyes' previous national champion team.
