Jordon Riley (born May 19, 1998) is an American football defensive end for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at North Carolina, Garden City, Nebraska, and Oregon.
Riley was born on May 19, 1998, in New Bern, North Carolina, and grew up in Durham. [1] [2] He attended Riverside High School in Durham, being ranked a three-star prospect and the 13th-best player in the state by 247Sports. [3] Riley committed to play college football for the North Carolina Tar Heels over various other offers. [3]
As a true freshman at North Carolina in 2017, Riley appeared in five games and recorded six tackles. [4] The following year, he redshirted. [5] Riley transferred to Garden City Community College in 2019, playing nine games and posting 26 tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss and two sacks in his only year there. [6] He transferred again in 2020, this time to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, for which he played six games that year. [7]
In 2021, Riley appeared in 10 games for the Cornhuskers, tallying seven tackles with one tackle-for-loss, and being named to the conference all-academic team. [8] Hoping to receive more playing time, he transferred to the Oregon Ducks for his final season in 2022. [5] With the Ducks, he started all 13 games and made 21 tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, a pass breakup and a half-sack. [9]

The 2022 Oregon Ducks football team represented the University of Oregon during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was led by first-year head coach Dan Lanning. The Ducks played their home games at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, and competed as members of the Pac-12 Conference. The Ducks bid for the Pac 12 Championship would have been clinched if they won on November 26 against Oregon State or if Utah lost to Colorado. However, Oregon lost the game, meaning they had to rely on Washington losing to Washington State to avoid a three-way tie between them, Washington, and Utah, as the tiebreaker for teams that had mutually beat each other favored Utah, which came to pass when Washington won later that night, allowing Utah to reach the Pac 12 championship.
