NBC News is the news division of the American broadcast television network NBC. The division operates under NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, a division of NBCUniversal, which is, in turn, a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast. The news division's various operations report to the president of NBC News, Rebecca Blumenstein. The NBCUniversal News Group also comprises MSNBC, the network's 24-hour general news channel, business and consumer news channels CNBC and CNBC World, the Spanish language Noticias Telemundo and United Kingdom–based Sky News.

The Alfred I. duPont–Columbia University Award honors excellence in broadcast and digital journalism in the public service and is considered one of the most prestigious awards in journalism. The awards were established in 1942 and administered until 1967 by Washington and Lee University's O. W. Riegel, Curator and Head of the Department of Journalism and Communications. Since 1968 they have been administered by the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York City, and are considered by some to be the broadcast equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize, another program administered by Columbia University.

Prior to his appointment in the Trump administration, Schiller served as the director of security for The Trump Organization. In that capacity, he was the personal bodyguard to Trump. John Charles Demers is an American lawyer who served as the United States Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division (NSD) from 2018 to 2021. Following the resignation of Jeffrey A. Rosen, Demers also served as the acting United States Attorney General on January 20, 2021, until President Joe Biden named Monty Wilkinson to the position later that day.
Shelby Pierson is the top election security official of the American intelligence community, the chair of the Election Executive and Leadership Board. Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats instituted the position and appointed Pierson to fill it in July 2019. The board includes representatives from the intelligence community and other federal agencies coordinating on election security.
Ken Klippenstein is an American journalist working at The Intercept. Prior to joining The Intercept, Klippenstein was the D.C. Correspondent at The Nation and previously a senior investigative reporter for the online news program The Young Turks. His work has also appeared in The Daily Beast,Salon, and other publications. His reporting focuses on U.S. federal and national security matters as well as corporate controversies.
Robert L. Deitz is an American lawyer and former intelligence officer who served as senior counsel to the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and General Counsel of the National Security Agency during the directorships of Michael Hayden. He is a professor of public policy at George Mason University's Schar School of Policy and Government.
